| Paint Flaking - Spark Plug Manifold |

The paint is flaking off the Spark Plug Manifolds on Pot 1 & 2 on my bike which has done about 4k Miles.
Anyone else noticed this?
It's not the end of the world but a bit poor on a bike of such low mileage. I don't think it can have anything to do with weather or damp as this area sees very little spray. Fins all around are fine.
It concerns me more that its just Cyl. 1 and 2. 1 more so than 2. Thinking it could be a heat problem. Any thoughts on this or any one else had the same happen?
I'm going to get the dealer to service it in a week or two, so i'll bring it up then....

Anyone else have an issue with when the Sun hits just right the digital display's visibility diminishes because of fine scratches? If so, any recommendations of resolving the issue besides only driving at night (hehe)? I'm assuming the display is plastic and not glass? -A

Hey guys...can anyone recommend a good short lever set? I've been looking at CNG but don't know what models fit. Also have been looking at Pazzos. I'd like to go black lever and red adjuster ideally. Thanks for any info you guys have.

I took a member advice and purchased a ( Chrome Backrest Sissy Bar w/Luggage Rack for 99-07 Honda Steed VLX VT 600 Deluxe ) for mounting on my 2014 CB100-E. E-Bay price was 53.95 with free shipping, can't beat that. As mention in a previous post, you do have to reverse the two main supports and shave some material off the stock brackets, which supports the rear turn signals aft of the rear mounting hole. Then drill a new rear hole in the main supports. After installation I added a 2"x 3/4' brace between the rear frame mount and the aft hole in the main supports to level my rack and achieve the proper sissy bar position.

CB1100ers,
One thing I was really looking forward to was the old school pop and ting of the motor upon shut off. Honda made a deal about this with the thin 2mm cooling fins on the motor.
Well, I gotta tell ya, my motor is Silent Sally. My Motoguzzi V7 Stone made a satisfying cacophony of music when shut down, and even my SR400 makes a lot of noise when cooling off. Shoot, even my Triumph Scrambler makes more noise than the CB1100, and that ain't saying much!!
The CB just makes individual quiet little noises spaced at wide intervals, very very subtle.
Is my bike a freak? Or is this the norm?
Scott
