Does anyone know the actual paint code for the 2013 Red Tank color? 'have a small scratch to fix. I can probably just put tank knee pads on and no one will ever know, but I will ... not my style - always do it the right way the first time, even if I put on the pads.

However, This is the time to consider getting adventurous!
Possibly 1, 2 or both:
1)paint the grey side covers red to match the tank
2)just go Harley and make a brand new redesign all together on the tank - don't have any ideas in mind yet, just do it. Possibly an enlarged Honda logo - Idea Inputs taken

$175.00 for the OEM tire here in northern Utah. Mine needs replacing at 4600 miles. Rear looks good

I just put new Michelin P R 3 tires on yesterday. When picking up the bike from the shop,I asked how much pressure did they put in. Tech stated 36 in rear 36 in front,his comment was when they warm up ,it will be 40psi. I thought 40 psi was cold pressure Am I mistaken .

so at a swap meet 2 weeks ago and there was a windjammer front faring off a cb750 always wonder is there a cb1100 new style
with one on it so a little talk a little money and I have one with mount and bad shield have a new shield in route from Florida

Well said Ferret. There is no doubt that protective gear is important. Most of the time I wear it. I have been known to ride with shorts, T-shirt and runners. A Helmet of course, it's compulsory in Australia anyway. Just down to the beach and back, but probably not very smart. However I am not counting on a big slide down the tarmac at 200kph plus.

Elipten made a good point regarding the elements and protective gear. If it makes you too hot then it, the gear, becomes a hazard in itself. I normally wear full leathers, but yesterday took a ride out of town with Kevlar jeans and a leather jacket rather than the full leather. 30deg C plus led me to that decision. I would rather have worn shorts and T, but they don't complement speed and lean angle.

So where am I going with this? Occasionally I like to ride fast. If I come off and become part of the scenery 'cause I do something stupid then maybe my leathers will help. However, in most, if not all cases, I am not likely to have flat tarmac, grass and kitty litter to help me out, as Loris Baz did. Have a think about the point the mighty Mick Doohan is making in the vid below.

Can anyone give me some feedback on these units? some are so cheap that the old saying "You get what you pay for" comes to mind, I had a nice system on my 900 but that was in a vetter fairing, thanks

Wow it's been 9 days since I was able to ride, but the weather terrorist said the next few days were going to be nice (relative term for you desert dwellers, so Cal guys and Aussies) so I was determined to get out.

Waited until the warmer part of the day, about 2:00 when the temp had climbed to 40 and pushed the ST out and warmed it up. As you can see the remnants of the last few days of snow is still very evident. A lot different than the pics from redbirds recent thread and makes me wish I sometimes lived someplace a little warmer

Once I had 2 bars on the temp gauge I threw my thermos and an energy bar in the tank bag and took off

I took the back way out to one of the state highways that runs north and south and runs a ridge down to the river. Once I hit the river I headed east until I came to the ferry crossing between Ripley Ohio and Augusta Kentucky. It would be here watching the ferry that I would drink my tea and eat my snack

the wind was blowing pretty strong. As you can see both the take off ramp in Kentucky and the landing ramp in Ohio are directly iin front of my bike, but the ferry was being blown a good piece down river as it crossed

Finally it makes it to the ramp and unloads it's one passenger, a pick up truck which paid $4 to cross the river rather than drive 40 miles around.

Tea and snack consumed I fired the ST up and headed back west to home.
