I have bought my CB in July and wanted to wait until 12 000 Km service to customize it to be sure of what I really want.
I only added the crash bars and the honda rear racK.

As this milestone is approaching rapidly, here is where I stand:

- K10 Chrome Front Fender

- Fork Bellows --> Kawasaki Fork Boots (49006-1335)

- Chrome gauge covers --> Still hesitate with a wind protection like the road comet fairing as I travel long distance for holidays but drastic change of look

- New seat for long distance rides but that costs a lot

- Chrome handlebar end weights

- A lower handlebar --> Don't like the genuine look of them but like the riding position and I am only 1,70m tall. Maybe Honda Handlebar Low type. Has anyone tested it ?

- New mirrors much lower --> I have no precise idea yet

- New oil cap in aluminium (I find the black plastic one ugly)

- An unique touch: I want to include an oil temperature gauge in the right side cover like the K0 side cover style but with a gauge instead of the fake oil cap. As I don't like the massive look of the K0 side cover I am considering a tailor-made cover on the exact model of the genuine one with that extra part for the gauge and the CB1100 four emblem. I do not have any clue yet where to put the oil temperature captor without messing with the ECU settings

Has anyone replaced their battery on the CB1100? Did you typically wait for it to die or do you replace it as a maintenance action? If maintenance action what is your methodology in time.

I was driving a car the other day and turned from one street to another at a difficult intersection. Difficult because it's in an old and hilly part of town and the roads are windy. I turned across the traffic coming from my right and into the left lane (I'm in Australia remember).

Immediately I was into a left-hand turn climbing slightly. As I turned I caught a glimpse of a Harley going the other way in the right hand lane. Although we passed perfectly safely, I didn't actually see the bike again until it was abreast of me as it was completely hidden behind the pillar of the car.

Neither of us did anything wrong and there was no danger, but I was reminded that, in certain circumstances, bikes really are invisible even to alert people driving cars.

When I go riding I almost always head east from my house. East is going deeper in the country. Going west means going toward the city. More people, more traffic, more well..everything. I am not a city person.

Anyhow I decided today I would vernture west a bit and show y'all some of what is in that direction.

First I had to get thru the Black Headed Vultures that were working on a dead deer carcass on the left side of the road in this pic. These birds are slow to rise and invariably float across the road in front of you. One's feet hit my wife's helmet one time, but this time they cleared me

Once past the vultures I went down to the road that borders the river, US 52, and turned west toward the city. About 5 miles upriver, I came upon the site where last week a 20 something year old woman high on prescription drugs ran over a bicyclist, and kept on going. They caught her shortly afterwards. The cylist died the next day and the bicycling community put up a "Ghost Bike" in his honor.

a few miles further west things start getting "busy". First comes the old River Downs Race Track (horses) that is now called Belterra Park. They still have horse racing but now they have regular gambling as well

right next to that is Riverbend Music Center where they have national recording artists come in to play. Some fans sit in the stands, some in the grass and some on boats in the river to listen

and right next to that is Coney Island amusement park. Btw that bridge visible in the right side of the this pic and the last is one of the bridges between Ohio and Kentucky

Further west are the marinas which boat on the river in the summer. As I enter the old east end of the city I turn north and roll past Lunken Airport which is a small airport on the east side of the city

Has anyone installed either the clear or clear smoked LED tail light from webike? I am interested in getting one to match my clear turn lenses but am looking for a little feedback from anyone who has one or what thoughts are on them.sorry no pic attached I'm on vacation and my phone refuses to cooperate!

im changing my rubber grips and was wondering what u guys suggest using for glue. thanx in advance

Met the front Tire tread indicator. What are the comments about driving when reaching this point? Should one avoid riding it? I want to take a 300 mile round trip that will traverse one dirt road for about two miles. Would you recommend against? I'm pretty much a motorcycle noob when it comes to this type of thing. I plan to bring the bike for a tire soon, but won't help me tomorrow.
