When I put my bike on it's centerstand, The bike leans slightly to the right. Fortunately, the bike feels solid and in no danger of falling over. That said, I'd prefer if it were perfectly straight and plum. I thought I might use a quarter inch piece of wood or something under the right footy thing unless anyone thinks thats a mistake?Any suggestions?

Hello Compatriots! I live in Jersey and obviously do most of my riding there. This spring, I'm planning to ride into the Rockies from Denver with my (Harley riding) brother, and I'd love to rent a CB out there. I've done the trip before and I know that Harley's, Beamer's, etc. are readily available, but cannot seem to find anyone who will rent me a CB. Thought I'd ask for guidance here. Thanks in advance!

I must say that it's pretty disheartening to hear so frequently on the radio as I drive my son to school in the morning about a motorcycle accident on this freeway or that freeway. This morning some rider had to be air-lifted after an accident.

It seems to me that riding in morning rush hour is the most perilous for sure, but at the same time I'm thinking, with the way traffic jams up here in L.A. in the morning, how fast could they possibly be going?

I wonder what the statistics say about "time of accident" and what percentage are during rush house vs other times?

with the addition of my Corbin seat I need about an inch more height on my handlebars to allow me to straighten my back out. The problem is that my fairing uses the risers as a mounting point so I must change the handle bar. I assume the factory is about 4 inches? Any subbestions where I might find what I need?

It's on my "bucket" list of things to buy next. My major concern is with comfort. I felt one that was on an FJR1300 and I was surprised at just how HARD it felt, just like their was virtually NO padding or cushion on the thing.

I agree that Corbin seats feel a little stiff when they are new, but as I put more time in the saddle it's beginning to feel much better. My longest ride since installing the seat has only been about two hours, but I had no numbness and support felt very good.

When I first installed the seat, I felt like it sat a little lower than the stock seat. After measuring the seat height on the Corbin and stock seat, they both ended up being the same level. I came to the conclusion that the Corbin felt lower because the carved bucket sits you back more to use the small built in backrest. Because of this I ended up installing a set of GenMar one inch handlebar risers and I feel very well positioned now.

I'm only 5'10" but have long arms (34" sleeve length) so you may fit different. I am planning on riding about ten hours to the forum rally in WV this June, so that will be the real test of the seat. I'm hoping it keeps on feeling better after each ride, so it should be great by then!

I don't use the signals very much but when I do they flash twice as fast as the emergency flashers.... all the bulbs are good too. Is this normal for this bike?

I managed to go for a long ride on Saturday and my mood has moved back closer to baseline! Being cooped up in the garage with salt and snow on the roads makes me grumpy!
I rode to the new Indian motorcycle dealership about 80 miles away from my home. Everyone from the sales staff, to the service manager and the general manager/owner were very friendly and welcoming. The shop has a high end boutique feel to it with lots of hardwood, leather furniture, and framed artwork displaying Indian's history.
I'm not in the market for a new bike, but I have certainly been in lust with Indians for many years. It's somewhere I would stop by after winning the lottery to pick up a new Chief Vintage and a new Scout to park in the stable! The new Scout is really gorgeous, it has 100 horsepower, the reviews have been very positive, all for $11,000.

I was very happy to get some saddle time on my CB!

Has anyone used one of these for either your cell phone or GPS. Just bought it and installed but haven't tried it out yet except for inside the garage. No phone in holder because in using it for photo, lol. It's fully adjustable and high quality. Comes with a rubber cradle tether to hold it in better but it's very sturdy without it. I shook it around really hard while in my hand prior to install.

It will obstruct some of the view of the clocks but you can adjust it to move out of way or have it right in front of you. I really dont need to see the instruments all the time anyway, at least not the speedometer.
