So I just installed the Arrow Slipon on my 2014 cb.

Anyone who has one I have a question. When I slipped it onto the headers there was about a 2cm gap between the end of the slip on and the end of the header connector. Meaning it didn't slip on 100% of the length of the header connector. There's no room for air to get in just curious is this is normal. With the clamp tightened I highly doubt any leaks would occur. If I do slip it on !00% of the length the mounting bolt does not align properly

My previous slipon the Yoshimure RS3 fit the entire length of the connector.

I was out riding around today on my Wolf Classic and came across six riders with Dealer plates on G310Rs. We hit the twisties for a while and whilst stopped I asked one of them where they were headed. Downtown Hollywood, we rode right past the Wax Museum and Chinese Theatre, left on Hollywood Blvd. and just a couple of turns and we were there.

I think about 30 bikes in all. I sat on one, very low, hardly higher than the Wolf. Very well-damped suspension front/rear, the forks and shock are well-built. These are great-looking bikes. Some pieces, like the brake levers, would probably need replacing for shorter fingers as they are not adjustable, but overall the machine is beautifully made, especially for the price.

I got to watch them in action zipping through several miles of tight turns. Darn nice machines. However my Wolf Classic 150 had no trouble keeping up (OK, I have been riding that road for 25 years) but power-wise, even when we were blasting down Cahuenga toward Hollywood, I had the Wolf run up to 60 mph, no worries. So the extra 20 HP you get will only be of help on the freeway or open road, in town, you can't really use it. I had to keep in mind that the BMW is over 80 pounds heavier than the Wolf Classic, too.

This is going to be a great motorcycle, a class-leading vehicle for sure.

And to think I almost stayed home today! I was thinking of hanging out but my Motor Press Guild membership expired years ago. All the top magazines and websites were represented. There were some geezers there, and a lot of Germans from BMW AG.

A couple of times a week, when the weather is bad, or I am pressed for time, mainly after watching Grandchildren on Fridays, or anytime I just feel like a pleasurable 1 hour or so ride,I will ride what I call "The Loop". The curves start 7/10 of a mile from my driveway. From my house and back again," The Loop" (yellow highlighted route) is 36 miles of curves and elevation changes. Nothing too technical and almost all the curves can be taken at or near posted speed limits on dry roads, with the exception of one little section or two. I can either shorten or extend the loop by taking any number of roads that bisect the loop (most common alterations are the red lines on the map)." The Loop" also includes "My Road" ( Rt 743) a road I am particularly fond of and a blast to ride. Changing the direction of travel on the loop makes it seem like two completely different loops.

This reminds me of the Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, a very good design but not very reliable as made by RR.

License-built by Packard, installed in the P-51, it made big history.

The problem was it was manufactured by artisans craftily working each at his own speciality. There were no torque specifications, no uniformity of parts. Packard took care of all that and could make the engines in huge numbers and they were reliable.

Another really nice job by Triumph, with a night time party at Triumph Metuchen, unveiling the newest iterations of the Modern Classics. 300 people showed up, craft beer, nice food, complimentary beard trimming (????) some free swag and other goodies.

The Bobber screams hipster, (based on the age of the people seen gawking and straddling it after it was ridden in, more like 'hip-replacement-ster,') but it sounded great coming in, and it is finished beautifully. The Street Cup and new Street Scrambler are just exquisite bikes.

The dealer principal said they are sold out of 2017 Street Twins already, begging Triumph to up production. And if you order a Bobber now, you'll likely get it in August. The popularity of the new Modern Classics has surpassed their projections.

Bravo to Triumph for the marketing, accessories and dealer support of these machines. Whether you like them or not, or feel the CB1100 is superior machine, Honda should be embarrassed by they way they let such a great machine flounder in the market. The dealer is also a Honda store, and they have a few out of date CB's in crates. He's not heard anything regarding the new versions yet. Sorry for the weak photos, kinda dark in there.

Yeah it's not quite the classic look but I'm not into classics, had a 71 CB 750 and ditched the four into four for a Hooker 4 into one, so anyone familiar with Delkevic?
At least it has a built in stop for the center stand, is stainless and I'm pretty sure I'll be the lab rat to try one. Saw it on eBay for $184 Inc shipping. It will be loud but so was my 1971 K1. I know the company has been around awhile and warranties it for a year. Let the comments fly !
I like in line air cooled fours and the 1100 was all there is. They have a special feel and sound unless they are neutered by the EPA . I'm sure loud pipes don't save lives but at least you can nurse the throttle in residential neighborhoods and crank on it on back roads and highways. Hooligan as charged

I was watching golf on television Sunday as I am wont to do when it is snowy outside and the tournament is being played in some tropical paradise. This particular tournament features a small field of the very best professional golfers. Tiger Woods organized it several years ago to benefit his foundation. They call it the "Hero World Challenge" which I thought was bit self-aggrandizing, considering they are just golfers -- unless they were raising money to honor military heroes or first responders or something of that sort.

When this commercial https://ispot.tv/a/AJNK came on, though, I realized that the "Hero" in the name is Hero MotoCorp. I found it a little odd to see a motorcycle commercial in the middle of a golf tournament, but the very end of the commercial explained everything to me; The closing splash screen for it says "Launching in the U.S. in 2018"

So I guess we may be getting Hero motorcycles here soon. Semi-interesting.

Lately, I've been eyeballing, and dare I say temted by the Triumph Rocket 3. Anyone have any useful info they can share? Thanks in advance.
