  CB1100 T-Shirts
Posted by: Offroad - 12-03-2016, 04:39 PM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (25)

I'm looking to purchase a couple of Black XXL T-Shirts with a Black CB1100 on it.

The Forum Store only has red.

Also not that I don't want to support the Forum as it has been wonderful in helping make my CB1100 experience greatly improved, but I'd like one with just the CB1100 on it.

I have one from the Rally in 2015 that is nice....I forget who made these.

I'd take another couple like them but would just as soon have only the CB1100 on the front (small) and on the back (large).

Does any one have these or the screen or whatever it's called so I can have my own made?

Actually I guess the Forum Store does have Black, I'd kind of like one without the Forum Logo on it.

  Brisbane CB riders catch up
Posted by: Cormanus - 12-03-2016, 11:22 AM - Forum: Seat Time - Replies (6)

Yesterday in a brief window for us both, I got to go for a ride with Graham T. We are both proud owners of 2011 CB1100s; both black. Being nearly new, with just over 1,300 kms on the clock, Graham's bike is in much better shape than mine which now has more than 57,000 hard-fought kms on the clock.

Graham's a great bloke. I enjoyed myself and I hope we get a chance to do it again before too much longer.

It was a lovely warm day and we rode up through Mt Nebo to Mt Glorious and then back again. I've posted maps of this ride before.

Here's a few pictures.

  Update on forum member dUh
Posted by: the Ferret - 12-03-2016, 11:17 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (14)

This morning my wife and I drove over to the western side of Cincinnati and met dUh (Rick) and his special lady friend Diana.

For those not familiar, forum member Rick was taken out by a deer at this years rally in Va, and got pretty busted up. Particularly his right ankle which required extensive plating, pinning and surgeries, and his hands were messed up pretty badly as well. Unconscious, he had to be airflighted to a hospital in Roanoak and then car transported after being stabilized to Indianapolis for surgery. His beautiful CB was totalled in the accident, and was delivered to Indy by another forum member.

It's been a tough road of recovery for Rick, being homebound all summer, and he finally got back to work for the first time the Monday of Thanksgiving week. The ankle is still very painful, but he is finally walking pretty well, without a cane most of the time.

The last time I visited him in Indy he was still on crutches and his ankle was still in very bad shape. he was unable to put any weight on it at all, so you can imagine the delight in seeing Rick walk from his car across the parking lot to the restaurant. We spent about 2 hours eating and talking, smiling and laughing. RIck again seemed like Rick, which was happy and laughing, and he is looking forward to getting another Cb and riding again when he gets the medical bills paid off.

On another thread about Jamboas bike being for sale for $3995 he had made the comment " your killing me smalls" and it confused me so I had to ask him today what it meant. Apparently it is a line from an old baseball movie called Sandlot, where some kids are playing baseball with a ball signed by Babe Ruth, and one kid knowing the value of the ball, made the comment to another. It was an "oh man, I can't believe it" type comment. Funny! If Jamboas bike was in Indiana I have a feeling it would be sitting in Ricks garage waiting for the day when Rick could ride again.

Anyhow he said to tell you all Hi and that it killed him to read of CB4ME's accident.

Hang in there Rick, it was great seeing you again. We are all anxious for the time when you can ride to the next rally!

  Speedometer and Odometer aren't working
Posted by: caleb_dud_imp - 12-03-2016, 10:47 AM - Forum: Mechanical & Technical - Replies (13)

Hey all,
I recently replaced my meter on my 2014 cb1100 due to a crash. It was as simple as bolting it on and plugging it in but the odometer and speedometer wont work. The tachometer is working great though. I'm wondering if I need to program it some how or if there may be a different problem. What do you all think it is? I appreciate any help I can get!

Of course this is not a real motorcycle but an artists rendering, but when I saw it I thought of you.

This guy draws some really cool motorcycles
