Arrow Slip-on Question - holy666diver_imp - 12-07-2016 So I just installed the Arrow Slipon on my 2014 cb. Anyone who has one I have a question. When I slipped it onto the headers there was about a 2cm gap between the end of the slip on and the end of the header connector. Meaning it didn't slip on 100% of the length of the header connector. There's no room for air to get in just curious is this is normal. With the clamp tightened I highly doubt any leaks would occur. If I do slip it on !00% of the length the mounting bolt does not align properly My previous slipon the Yoshimure RS3 fit the entire length of the connector. RE: Arrow Slip-on Question - the Ferret - 12-07-2016 you have both pipes, maeasure the length of the connector pipe and see if the arrow is shorter. RE: Arrow Slip-on Question - holy666diver_imp - 12-07-2016 You know what I think I installed the arrow on the outside of the exhaust bracket instead of the inside... I'll re-install tonight see if that fixes it Arrow Slip-on Question - holy666diver_imp - 12-07-2016 I installed the arrow exhaust on the back end of the bracket and now the exhaust fully fits. I fully tightened the bolt to the bike and tightened the clamp to the header. There seems to be a little bit of movement now even with the bolts fully tightened. Not enough to do any damage but is a little movement back and forth normal? Anyone with an arrow chime in? I am confused the previous exhaust I had did not move this much. *MOD you can move this to "mechanical / Technical" RE: Arrow Slip-on Question - the Ferret - 12-08-2016 it looks like the movement is coming at the peg bracket mounting location to me. Is it rubber mounted? Is it rubber mounted? All the stock hardware. Bolt and a rubber grommet inside. It's fully tightened. RE: Arrow Slip-on Question - the Ferret - 12-08-2016 The reason I asked, at the 14-18 second mark you can clearly see the peg mounting bolt moving up and down as you wiggle the pipe. It's as tight as it gets. I'll strip it if I go any tighter. I can try adding another washer see if it tightens up. RE: Arrow Slip-on Question - the Ferret - 12-08-2016 Or just not worry about it. It's not going to fall off. Does it leak at the joint? |
