Has anyone asked Mr. T if the rear shocks on the 17 RS will fit a 2013?

I am really not liking the cost of the Ohlins HO 239's......

Well Howdy folks, it's been a long time since I was on here. Been busy with this and that. Hope everyone is doing well. Sorry that I can't make it to the rally this year, but the wife is in nursing school, and her schedule will not permit it. I am planning a ride up to western NC (Blueridge Motorcycle Campground) on the 20th. If anyone is going to be in the area, let me know. I know some guys from Atlanta that will be up that way running the hills, but they won't get there until Saturday. Not sure if I will take the CB, or my VFR. Probably the CB, as I find it to be much more fun to ride up that way.

is there such thing as an affordable leather motorcycle jacket that is worth owning? sure, there are lots of what I have come to understand are known as "promotional grade" leather jackets made of the stuff that lies beneath the graded leather that you actually want your jacket made of, but the difference in price is substantial. $150 vs. around $400+ It's just crazy.

In attempting to post some personal rider observations about my new 2014 CB1100 to the Moto Guzzi forum, I'm afraid I may be giving them some bad info. It almost seems impossible that this 4 cylinder engine can produce good power at lower rpms. I'm reading 2750rpm at 60mph in 6th gear, and the bike accelerates nicely if I'm not in a big hurry from that speed. Doesn't seem like I've ever owned a bike that would pull so nicely without lugging at this rpm. Here's a few of my observations I posted to WG forum.
Can one of you 2014 6 speed owners confirm or correct my observations? Thanks, Bob

- I find it isn't necessary to wring the bike's neck to achieve really nice straight line performance. Since I'm still breaking it in, I'm keeping rpm normally below 4000. I find this engine is tuned to pull nicely in any lower gear from 2000 to 2500, and shifting at 3000 to 3500 and rolling on in the next taller gear shows the bike to have good low end torque, and more than adequate acceleration.

- RPM at indicated 60mph is an indicated 2750rpm (6th gear.) And the bike is not lugging at that rpm. A slight twist of the throttle and she's off. No drama mama.

I saw in a different post that the 2017 gas tank will fit the 2014. Does anyone know if it'll fit the 2013? I didn't see any fitting info on samurider.
