Thanks to NorthGeorgiaRider, I now have a new to me really nice Corbin seat with passenger backrest. Well I just mounted my new seat and jumped on to test the comfort. Wow is this thing hard!!!
I have herd many people say that these seats are hard but now I know. I am getting ready to go on a trip from Long Island to West Virginia next week and would really like to know if anyone has any suggestions to make this seat more comfortable. I see some people with sheepskin, some with foam pads etc. Any suggestions would really be helpful.

Has anyone tried the new "Convert" helmet from Scorpion?
It is 3 helmets in 1 and looks pretty interesting.
Only thing I am seeing is it is only in "Flat Black"

Got tired of taking cell phone pictures so I brought my real camera along this time, thought they came out pretty good.

Any one knows about this guys? Would you believe they are really original?

Anyone have Sargent do a seat for their CB1100?

Has anyone replaced bearings in their front wheel on a 2014 CB1100 who could tell me if the left side of the wheel hub has a straight bore for the left bearing (with no bearing shoulder in the hub bore on the left side of the wheel)?

I wrote the thread below titled "Front wheel bearings shifted in hub" with the following explanation of why I need to know.

Assume there is no shoulder in the hub for the left bearing, just a straight bore for the bearing O.D. Now put the wheel on with both brake calipers off and the wheel spacers switched from their correct sides and tighten the axle nut. The wheel is now shifted to the right of where it is supposed to be between the forks. Now slip the left brake caliper over the left disk. There will be a gap between the calipers and the fork since the left disk is also shifted to the right of where it's supposed to be. Now tighten up the caliper bolts until the caliper hits the fork, closing that gap (which is what I did). The only way you could do this is by pulling the wheel back towards the left until it is centered again in the forks by pulling on the left brake disk with the calipers as you tighten the caliper bolts. Since the axle and spacers are held in place in the forks the only way the wheel could move back to the center of the forks is for both bearings and the spacer sleeve between them on the axle to shift to the right in the hub. This can only occur if there is no bearing shoulder on the left side of the wheel hub.

I'm planning a motorcycle-only garage. It will be insulated and have HVAC with a floor area of 20 feet wide x 24 feet deep (6,1 m x 7,3 m), with a side porch 8 feet wide x 24 feet long (2,4 m x 7,3 m). There will be two personnel entrances and one 16 feet wide x 9 feet tall (4,9 m x 2,7 m) main garage door. There will be storage space in the attic.

Would be interested in ideas regarding specification details that would be advisable. For example, I've specified treated wood where in contact with concrete, and galvanized hardware where in contact with treated wood. Fascia boards and gable end roof trim boards of treated wood with aluminum cladding and drip rails.

I haven't decided on exterior finish material. I'm not a huge fan of the look of vinyl (especially when it sags and warps) but I do like the durability and geometric stability of aluminum siding (which seems to be getting scarcer these days). Would rather not do something that results in the need to paint periodically (would rather be riding!).

Had a heck of a time finding a pair of matching tires for my CB1100 Std. I wanted same brand, same model tire and radials. Only thing found was a pair of Metzeler Road Tec Z8 M spec, reasonably priced at Revzilla, so I bought them. I only need the front tire right away, as the Dunlop (Dunflop) OEM is cupping badly on the left side only. Dunflop doesn't have the D205s anymore and showed no listing for my tire sizes. I'm not sure I would buy them, even if I were to find them. I've never had good success with that brand.
