2 bike nights 2 weeks in a row
this is how it should be
last thur an fzr750rr so an OWO1
ant tonight a vfr750rr yup RC30
fz 1200 miles and vfr 1300 miles
now many of you guys may not know what these are but for me thay were show stoppers
funny thing i think im the only one that knew what they were
both bikes should have had 100 people standing around staring but there were none
when i used to have my rz500 it was the same way
so when you found some one that knewwhat it was you could have a great conversation about it
so anyway if i can find away to get the pics small enough i will include

| Considering a WhiteHouse Kit / SoCal Installation? |

Hi All,
New member here, what a wonderful resource... So glad I found this forum.
I live in Los Angeles, and am considering the purchase of a CB1100 with the intention of installing the full WhiteHouse K10 kit. I'm not, however, a do-it-yourself type (at least when it comes to bikes.)
Has anyone hired a great shop to do this installation in the US? And, preferably, has anyone worked with a shop in Southern CA to create one of these beautiful machines with the kit from Samurider?
Any info / referrals appreciated, thanks!
Best,
Joel

Give me your opinion of compression socks--good, bad, indifferent, but only if you have worn them. I'm leaning seriously towards adding them to my riding attire to avoid blood clots.

So I went to the doctor today about the pain in my hip that I experienced the last time I rode my bike. I had taken some X-rays a couple days after, but today was the first time I could get in to see him.
A little back story...a little over two years ago I had surgery to repair a torn labrum in my right hip that had been plaguing me for quite some time and that made things MUCH better and riding became much more enjoyable. I could actually swing my leg over without any pain, something that I hadn't been able to do for a good number of years.
So anyway....I thought I was having some sort of relapse and might need to go under the knife again. Thankfully (I think) that isn't the case, but the news isn't what I was looking for either. He told me that I am dealing with arthritis in my hip joint and right now the best course of treatment is just Aleve or Motrin for the pain. There doesn't seem to be any other deterioration of the joint as the spacing looks good on the X-ray so no hip replacement (I wasn't suspecting this, but you never really know until you talk to the doctor).
It's REALLY fun getting old....ugh.
Oh and he told me to lose some weight....about 50-70 lbs would be good. I would love it, but it's probably not in the cards.

| Handguards! |

Thanks to the_undecider for the good deal on these. Was going to save them for the rainy / cold season but decided to put them on now. My fingers tend to go numb when it's below 35º so I wanted a cheaper option than heated grips.
I haven't had handguards on a motorcycle since a dirt bike back in the day. They are really nice at highway speeds, even in warm weather. Even though they only block wind from your hands they makes high speed riding a little more relaxed.

Anyone change out their gauges/meter/cluster? I would love to see some pictures. I am still relatively new to the site and am learning how to navigate it, but I have yet to see any pics of an after market gauge on the cb1100.
