Changed the oil on the CB earlier today. Pulled the drain plug, let the oil start draining, start doing other things on the bike. Put the plug back in... Later as I’m pouring the old oil out of the drain pan into another container, plop, there falls the drain plug washer

Hello, I am new to the forum, having bought my CB yesterday. The bike has 39 miles and lots of cosmetic damage from an off and what looks like a long slide on the left side. Clear title, thank goodness. So am am going to start a cafe racer project.

Has anyone tried fitting a CBR1000RR entire front end? Are the steering stems the same? If not, can you press the CB stem into the CBR front end? I was going to just buy the front end and try it, but I decided to ask the experts first.

Ok, so after reading almost every post about helmets, I still didn't find what I'm looking for.
I'm searching for a classic helmet that looks good on the CB but with modern performance.
I like the looks of the Biltwell Gringo S, the Premier Trophy, the Bell Bullit, but all of them have at least one problem for me.
If any of you knows a full face helmet that is:
- classic looking
- without real leather (to protect my life I believe that I don't have to take other's)
- below 400 eur
- well ventilated

First truly mild day today here in southern Connecticut! All winter long I'd see maybe 2-3 bikes per week ride by my office window. So far today, there have been at least 10!...Tomorrow, I'll be among em...Lookin forward to my first long ride (longer than 30 mile winter style) of the season. Happy Spring fellers!!

Another all S alliterative post. I think this is my thing.

When I take my CB into the mechanic for regular service they seem to have a kind of schedule from the manufacturer that shows them exactly what mileage triggers a need for what specific regular maintenance. Now I just trust them when they say it needs X or Y at this time, but is there someplace i can get a look at this schedule? googling has not lead me to any specific table or list of services.

I pulled the trigger and ordered a 2017 CB1100EX yesterday. Trading in the 2013 CB1100 ABS and 2013 CBR250R Repsol. I'm keeping the wind screens, panniers, Corbin seat, bar risers, and turn signal relocation off the 2013. Having the dealer install a new Honda rack and heated grips on the 2017 as well. I even have a new PR3 front tire that I didn't install yet at home. Looking forward to the larger tank and 6 speed transmission.
