What is the longest your CB has sat without being ridden?

There is one for sale = C$3500/4000 miles by a local H-dealer, from which I bought my previous '13 CB1100

Couldn't pass on an opportunity so I traded in my 2016 VStrom 650 for a 2019 version. Had been looking for a 2017 in white since Nov but distance or price kept it from happening.
Had a few hours before dinner Fri night so stopped at dealership. Sales guy who sold me the 2016 said he had a 2019 white in the crate so we discussed #s and it worked out. Did the trade yesterday only to find out the white he had was an xt with the blue trim. At first I was hesitant since spokes seem like a hassle but the tires are tubeless and the blue and white look is gorgeous and it sets it apart from the V1 we have.
Yesterday's weather was tremendous so the ride to make the deal was enjoyable.

How many ride during the winter when salt/etc. residue is still on the roads?

Do you worry about it or just ride?

If you do ride, how do you clean it off?

I've read some:

1. Wait until spring
2. Some have a very detail method of cleaning/neutralizing the salt
3. Some don't worry about it. One said, I just ride. I clean my motorcycle once a year whether it needs it or not LOL

Posted on our local Craigslist. Japan-only model. I've never seen this model before. 50cc, 4 speed manual.

So I let it sit couple days after putting fresh gas in it and putting a battery tender on. Today with it being below 20 degrees outside I tried to start it to no avail. After couple tries all I could smell is faint odor of gas out of exhaust pipe. Anyone got suggestions before I start taking spark plugs out and checking possible causes of this? Engine turns over but it feels like there’s no spark or maybe timing off.

I have searched and there isn’t a post that I could find that show how to change out the front brake pads on a 13 w abs.

Is it easy? Do I need to bleed the brakes? Does anyone have a service manual they would be willing to scan and send me the relevant pages?

Just bought a pair of Richa Vapour waterproof boots, that arrived this morning, to replace the ordinary working boots I've been using up to now .

These new boots come about, maybe just above, mid-shin height so have raised the dilemma of do I wear my jeans inside or outside my boots. I think I'd prefer outside myself.

Are there practical considerations?

...or doesn't it really matter?

Recently I have been experiencing difficulty in turning the ignition lock on and also pulling the key from the lock. I have injected graphite material designed to lubricate the lock without improvement.

Has anyone experienced this and does any one have a suggestion regarding a repair.
