  Road Gremlins
Posted by: MagnaRider - 06-05-2025, 07:36 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (8)

My good friends Dad who I ride with often gave me a road gremlin bell for my bike. Never knew about these until now, but I read about them and thought the idea is great.
Hes rode bikes since the late 60's (Had a few CB750s, a CBX and various other bikes) so not sure how many guys are still riding with a bell on but he said it was a popular thing when he was riding. Curious how many guys here have a bell on their bike.
And if you don't know about them like I did, heres a good article summing up the possible origins
Why Motorcycles Have Bells: The History & The Legends – Motorcycle Habit

You're supposed to hang the bell as close to the road as you can, and my crash bar had a perfect spot for it.

Who would have thought that ice cream is the key to proper throttle grip? Smile

Hello everyone.  I'm in Maryland, USA.  I have just bought a Honda CB1100 (non ABS).  It is in excellent original condition with only 7800 miles.
It's a beauty and a real pleasure to ride!

  Brake light jiggle
Posted by: Southwend - 05-31-2025, 08:27 PM - Forum: Mechanical & Technical - Replies (9)

2017 model I was working on the taillight assembly I noticed that when I tightened the two screws holding the taillight unit into the bracket assembly that even when tight the red plastic assembly is free to wiggle in the bracket

Is this normal? I don’t know why I haven’t noticed it before I’m not missing any pieces as far as I know. I assembled using an exploded diagram to be sure I had all of the correct parts

This limited edition CB1100 was sponsored by Honda. 54 were made in England. It is beautiful rendering of a semi-custom motorcycle.

“2019 sees the introduction of a limited run of built-to-order CB1100 RS motorcycles; in partnership with Honda UK just 54 will be crafted by 5Four motorcycles.”
