Found out coming home from work today that my 2014 CB1100 cuts out at 110 mph, which really surprised me, kind of funny thinking my Harley will run by the CB.
Am sure it has been discussed before but is there an available tuner out there that will override the limiter? Pretty sure this 1100 has more to give.

Throttle Rolling

So I'm studying and keep reading about throttle rolling without any definition. I assume the rolling on the throttle is accelerating and rolling off the throttle is decelerating but I must be wrong or they would call it accelerating/decelerating. What am I missing here?
I can't believe it will be weeks and weeks before I can even get an appointment for a written test. I want to ride after all these years and am short on patience now that the bike is in the garage.

Using the new Apple "AirTag" to locate your motorcycle in case it is stolen

Apple just released a new interesting product to track your key or handbag using the "AirTag" key chain. Thinking out of the box I am tempting to use it as a motorcycle tracker in case if my CB gets stolen.
Instead of purchasing a motorcycle tracker ($150) plus paying monthly admin fees, why not get the Apple "AirTag" and leave it somewhere on the bike (maybe under the gas tank) and when your CB is missing, you can ping it using your apple phone.
It is a one time purchase (roughly $30) and the beauty is that there is no monthly admin fee and it uses bluetooth technology and any apple cellphone in the vicinity to transmit its location.
The only draw back is that you have a maximum of 3 days to bring you cellphone close to it before it starts "beeping". So to reset the clock, you have to bring your paired cellphone within close proximity and it is good for another 3 days.

Can I ask a non-CB1100 related GoPro question?

I have been having issues with the quality of a GoPro video I have uploaded to YouTube, it’s my first effort so quite possibly not doing it ‘properly’.
The GoPro data files were initially edited on iMovie, then on also Windows Video editor as a comparison. The export from both editors produced very acceptable .mp4 files, both looking rather good when run locally.
However, when uploaded to YouTube, everything goes seemingly to 480p rather than 1080p, but then ‘fixes itself’ at various points by going back up to 1080p, plus one background music track (all music is YT provided tracks) has just disappeared on the uploaded videos altogether.
So a problem with the upload process?
I then discovered that the loss of quality happened at the exact same places 'on the ground' no matter what the edit or length of clip. So, I made a small length video using just one GoPro file and sure enough, the local .mp4 is just fine but the uploaded videos have the failure happening again at that same point in that video too even though that point is now just 10secs into the video rather than 2 minutes!
This suggests to me there is something awry with the original mp4 file out of the camera – but then why do the local mp4 files run 100% ?
Any ideas?

My 2014 has been getting around 40 to 41 mpg since I got it a month ago. I've filled the tank 3 or 4 times and it seems very consistent at the 40-41 mpg.
The expected mileage listed by Honda for this bike is 43 mpg, so I'm pretty close to that.
I was surprised that so many people seem to be getting in the 50+ range.
I weigh about 260 in full riding gear. This is an obvious variable.
I was told the dealership where I bought it refilled the oil with Honda G4 10w40.
In fact, they may have overfilled it, as the oil window appears completely full on the center stand... Would having too much oil contribute to poor fuel economy?
I'm not trying to start an oil thread... Lol
I haven't checked the air filter yet either... Too much oil in my Nissan fouls the air filter very fast...
