Hi, new to the Forum and shopping around for one of these beasts.

I've been riding about 10 years, and am curious to learn if there are any women out there who own/ride one of these regularly? It's significantly heavier than what I currently own, so I'm a bit concerned about the physics/geometry of handling one of these (as a not-too-large chick).

This may have already been addressed in a different thread. Does anyone know the factory settings for the clutch and brake lever adjustment dials? Thanks

Hey guys, Monday I went to Sun Stoppers on Independence Blvd to see if they could install that clear 3M paint protection film on my gas tank. apparently they have multiple locations but this one specializes in paint protection.

They took some measurements and told me to come back today. It took them about 15 mins and it looks Amazing!!! I put it on the front of the tank where your belt buckle would rub, and on the side indentations where your legs may rub.

I'll try to upload a pic, but what's funny is you can't see it at all!!! it's guaranteed for
5 years, but he said it will more than likely last for a LOOONG time (double that ore more) if I take care of it, which I do.

Gordon is the name of the paint protection specialist, I told him to save the template since i was going to post in the forum and he might get some more CB's in there soon!!

My favorite thing about it is you keep the classic look of the tank and don't have to worry about jacking up your paint, I'm so impressed. A+++ for them

Spotted a review in BMWMOA magazine (used to ride one) awhile ago and after digging up the article I went ahead and ordered one just because I'm lazy and make a mess when I spray lube all over the chain and rear sprocket.

Basically a hard nylon-type plastic block that routes the spray lube onto the chain sideplates. Sure you could cobble up your own, but remember I'm lazy and it doesn't cost too much (compared to things like Ohlins or farkles from those vendors in Japan).

Well, I now have 800 miles on my bike and it doesn't do it anymore, no matter how hard I try.
The only thing I did was change the oil and filter at 600 miles to Silkoline 10/40 synthetic and I put on a Staintune.
Anyway, no more ticking, clacking whatever you want to call it.

How well does your fuel guage work? Mine goes into red flashing mode when there's still almost half a tank left. I don't expect the guage to be perfect, but this is too much.

In a recent review on Motorycle.com they had a very similar issue; on their bike the guage would show Full for 3/4 or more of the tank, then suddenly drop all the way down into "reserve" mode.

This may be a production defect that Honda needs to address for everyone. If you feel your fuel guage doesn't work like it should, please post here and perhaps we [/b]can take it to Honda US as a group.

The first time I saw a CB in the wild was in the Honda tent at Daytona Bike Week last year. The bike's headers were covered with brown stains. I figured it must have been ridden down a dirt road just before they loaded it on the truck for the show, and nobody bothered to clean it up.

Of course it turns out the header pipes get brown, crappy-looking stains every time I ride in the wet. I assume everyone else's does too. If this were a knock-around bike like my VStrom was, I'd either ignore it or spray VHS flat black on the pipes and forget it. But it's not, the CB's look and appearance are a big part of why I bought it. Rusty-looking headers are not going to cut it.

The only thing that really seems to clean them up is Simichrome and a LOT of elbow grease. BMW markets a spray that's supposed to work, but it's even more expensive than Simichrome.

What do y'all think/do about this?

Honda official aftermarket item from PLOT and is made of chrome plated steel according to the description.

I've wanted one ever since seeing it in the Japan catalog. I assumed it was plastic like the on on the bike.

The cover should brighten up the left side of the bike and provide a small degree of visual balance with the right side of the bike.

Hey guys, im planning on adding a scottoiler to the cb; ill post up pics as I install it.

I put one on my VFR and it's hands-down the best mod I've ever done.

Only thing that bothers me is trying to find a suitable vacuum line on the CB. It was cake on the carb of the Viffer but I'm thinking it may be a pain on the EFI system on this bike. We'll see!!
