No 2014 in sight, and the salespeople admitted they didn't know what the status would be. Web kiosk and printed sales materials for 2014 models showed the CB1100 with "(2013)" after the model name.

I was searching for a Honda OEM Rear Carrier today. I could have sworn I saw one for $220 a few weeks ago but can't find the link. But during my search I came accross this.

Instead of paying $35 to $50 for a special flare socket, I have made my own in about 15 minutes.
Using a 17 mm 3/8 drive deep socket bought for $5 at Northern Tools and using painters tape to mark the area to be ground off, which I did with a 4.5 inch angle grinder.
Keep water on hand to cool the socket in between grinding to prevent bluing and losing its temper!!
It works perfectly. A damn sight easier then trying to add the picture for all of you to see my handiwork.

Sorry for the lateness off my posts way to many bikes to build ,the cb1100 it in bits waiting for new triple clamps and ohlins forks (japan).The tank and side covers i made out off Alloy.The bike will be on show at daytona for honda in march.
I finished 4-5 pipes only a small run thats it as they are a pian to build,if you guys want any your cost is 525+shipping they cost me $775 to make (at $85per hour).

Well I was able to get out for a short ride this afternoon, 38 deg. here. My snow pants arrived a couple of days ago and the Venture glove liners came yesterday. The glove liners came with the spilt harness and the fused battery harness. Hooked everything up without a controller and the liners worked great. My regular gloves are a little tight with the liners, I may need to order a set of 3xl gloves to use with the liners. Only other item I need now is the jacket liner.
The gloves together draw 4 amps the Jacket liner is rated at 8 amps so maybe I can leave the Honda Generator at home.

Have not been around much lately, but not gone, just moving. Will be back once 30% more of the boxes are unpacked. Did pick up a 20 foot by 30 foot heated, cooled outbuilding (used to be a cabinet shop) for motorcycle related shenanigans in the deal, so the cardboard cuts are probably worth it

I haven't seen any pictures of this one yet. Just put it on last night, I'll get some better ones up soon. I was afraid it would be too loud, but even without the included silencer/dB killer I'm fine with it. It seems pretty bassy, but I haven't heard another CB1100, stock or otherwise so maybe that's typical on these bikes. With the silencer in it lowers the bass/rumble more than I would have expected, should be nice for road trips.

It's not the level quality of what people describe the Staintune Slipon, but I'm completely happy with the quality of it for the price.

The only problem is it's kinda boy-racerish looking... DOH. I was afraid of that but I want to darken up the look of the bike. I'm hoping the Carbon Fiber/Red Side Covers I ordered tie it together. I did a mock up image, I think it'll look good. I never understood why they shipped a red tank with a silver side cover. It looks Ok, just a kinda unfinished.

Last i read it he was riding a CB 1100 around some of the areas mentioned by Cormanus. Ahh, apparently he has sold his CB 1100 and is moving from Australia to Europe.
