On my way home, found a nice "hang from the gutters" 10' long, bronze wind chime with hummingbirds 'n flowers for the Mrs. for Christmas.

Many threads have been written regarding various and complex types of CB1100’s. As far as I understand none of them can explain my following concerns.

I have CB1100 which was imported and registered in the year of 2016. I understand all bikes sold in Europe 2016 were made 2014. That’s not the issue here.

I bought it as an EX and on the frame is an label marked CB1100SAE. But on Certificate of Conformity (CoC) it’s commercial name is CB1100SA, not SAE. That is an strange difference I hope you can explain.
On the CoC is as well type, variant and version:

Type: SC65 (which is Honda's code for the CB1100)
Variant: 3
Version: 1

Do you know what Variant and Version stands for?

Every CB1100 2013, 2014 In my area has pitting and fork tube rust. Little to nothing else has rust. Are there any options for stock size chrome fork tubes? Anyone else with this problem? Even the bikes with low miles that sit inside have it.

A slow afternoon... I thought I'd start a game. Without checking, do you know off-hand where other forum members are from? We have that info everytime we read a post from different members...can you recall them?

I chose some common threads (Today's weather / what did you do on... / birthday thread etc.) and scrolled through the last few pages of each, noting which members had 1000 posts or more. Apologies to those that have 900 something posts or less. I think there may be one member on the list with 900-ish posts because I wanted 25. This is more geared to those who have posted recently as opposed to back in 2013. What makes for a right answer? I don't know. Use your judgement. It would be ethnocentric of me to say "if the USA, you have to get the right city or state" and not do the same for a European country if that info is given by the member. Some give city, others a region, others just a country. So how about you guess "close enough" to determine whether you got it or not.

I got a great Delkevic can from a contributor here and got it installed. Looks and sounds great but with windchills of -30+ coming, it’ll be awhile.

I understand tire sizing as it’s similar to a car, but my CB1100 is a 2017EX mode with spoke wheels. According to the Rear tire it requires tubes the front tire states tubeless, but I’d imagine has a tube in it?

They’re currently the original tires I believe the tires are stamped 2012. They’re dunlops, and have just enough tread for maybe a month left I’m gonna purchase some Bridgestone BT54s I found which are tubeless and a good price.

My local shop told me just buy whatever tire I want they put tubes in them, but do I need to even bother changing tubes? I was thinking about since the tubes are at least 5-6 years old.

Also in case the shop pops one on accident as my motorcycle is my only means of transportation.

Currently have dunlops
110/80/18 Front
140/70/18 Rear
Oh, and how do you buy the tubes? The diameter must obviously fit inside the tire so just any tube that’s 18inches?

Question:

Any Forum folks find themselves buying, or thinking of buying a bike that really does not make any sense for them and/or is comparatively impractical to what they know better?
