I think if you have not we should all read about the engineering that has gone into our bikes. It has made me appreciate the bike more than I already did. Its a good read here's the link. http://world.honda.com/CB1100/engineer-talk/

Just some GoPro highlight footage from our Ride on Sunday, Deb on her Moto Guzzi V7 Special and me on my beloved CB1100. Just for kicks.

  Transmission Noisier After Oil Change
Posted by: Slowgroove2013_imp - 09-30-2014, 07:46 AM - Forum: Mechanical & Technical - Replies (12)

The trans area sounds like it has added a new high pitched squeaky rattle little extra sound after the first oil change after about 600 miles.
This is after warm up.
This sound is not present on cold start up.
I took it to Honda and they don't hear it but I do .
The service dept. guy says it is due to the 10W30 Honda oil being of a lower viscosity than the original break-in oil from the factory.
Time will tell.
Any other owner have a similar experience?

I really like this bike. Light weight with good ergos and the right look.

  Emgo Exhaust??
Posted by: mgoodie_imp - 09-30-2014, 02:07 AM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (62)

Has anyone tried the Emgo megaphone shorty exhaust? I just ordered a set off amazon and was wondering if anyone tried them and found out if they have fitment issues or if they sound horrible. I will update when I get them and put them on.

  Hi flyers over the CB

Took my teenage daughter for a quick ride to my favourite South Coast run. Through the Royal National Park just South of Sydney and then down along the coast road past rugged cliffs and surf beaches.

Mid way is a favourite bike stopping point for a coffee, enjoy the view and chat about chrome and sprockets. Could be only a few bikes to dozens.

This time the wind was up and the car park is invaded by thrill seekers of a different kind. That first step is a doozy. 270 meters or 890 feet sheer drop to the Pacific Ocean.

Not sure if I am up to taking the plunge for a tandem ride? May just stick to the thrills on the road.

  Some long lost motorcycles

2 weekends ago I went bushwalking with the family. On the way back we spotted a bike show in a local park.

It was late afternoon so they were winding up but we still caught some beautiful bikes from a past era.

You may recognise something from your youth or perhaps your dads past.
