Stumbled across these (2nd item down, red diamonds) from early CB750 side covers... (http://www.vintagecb750.com/products/2/c...rs-emblems)

Might look decent on a CB1100. Especially red ones with silver side covers!

  Engine guards install help
Posted by: holy666diver_imp - 09-25-2014, 11:07 AM - Forum: Mechanical & Technical - Replies (14)

I got the Honda genuine engine guards for my 2014. I went to install today and got the engine bolts loose and nut off but I could get the bolt to come out! Felt like it was stuck. Anyone have this problem? Do you need to force it out or something about to have the dealer do it.

  K&H mid seat
Posted by: fredkb_imp - 09-25-2014, 10:10 AM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (2)

Hello everyone. I just received a K&H seat, mid size. I opened the box and
it looked different from the picture on website. Here it is on the bike.

Just kidding. Here is the seat without the bubble wrap.

I drove to work and back today, about 70 miles, on the new seat. It is a little wider than stock which makes it seem slightly taller. It is a little firmer than I expected, but I think it is better than the soft stock seat. To be honest, I really bought it more for the look than any concern about comfort, as I am used to the hard , narrow seat of a dual sport off road bike. I think the seat looks awesome and I am sure I will get used to it in a few days of commuting. I will provide a more thorough report of comfort as I use it for a week or so. I also like the fact that it comes with all hardware on seat, ready to simply snap it on, which allows me to be able to use stock seat in a flash if so desired. The K&H seat snaps down very solid with no side to side looseness like the stocker.

OK to have flashing lights? video
Posted by: HikerToo_imp - 09-25-2014, 09:55 AM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (6)

I was thinking I could use my flashing bicycle lights on the CB for extra safety, I have USB rechargeable LED's in red and clear I use on the bicycles every time I go out, even in day light.
See videos below, I can set them to be on solid, flash, fast flash and they last all day before needing a recharge.

im looking to get motorcycle guards for my bike i cant seem to find oem ones for my model so im thinking between

CB1100 ACTIVE (active) Engine guard stainless steel buffing

Racing Slider Case Cover SET AGRAS (Agulhas) CB1100

i like how clean the agras would be on the bike however i dont know how affective they would be if my by were to fully fall to its side and take another slide.

and the active ones look good but they look like they mount to the motor and i dont really want that..

any one with experience on these or on any other kind?

Spotted an HD Street 750 today.
Posted by: flynrider - 09-25-2014, 08:13 AM - Forum: Other Bikes - Replies (12)

I was leaving work this afternoon and spotted a new bike in the motorcycle parking area. Turned out to be one of the new HD Street 750s.

I've been seeing these online since last year, but this is the first one I've seen in person. Overall it looks like a nice bike. The build quality is quite good. With water cooling, 4 valves/cyl. and FI, this looks like it may be the future of HD. I'll have to find out who it belongs to and see if I can wangle a short ride.

  CBR300r/CB300f look like fun
Posted by: emptysea - 09-25-2014, 07:30 AM - Forum: Other Bikes - Replies (4)

I think I might like to have one of these as a second (well, if you count my wife's bike, third) bike in our stable.

I had a CBR250r and it was a blast to ride around town and on day rides on the back roads. A little more oomph has to be a good thing, right? Now...if your spouse also rode and if you also had two kids in college, how would YOU approach her with this wonderful idea of yours?

How do you remove the tank stickers? Just peel them off? Heat gun or hair dryer needed to heat them up?
