Does anyone know what settings on front and rear suspensions for different weights?

If you ride a long distance 2-up should you change to stiffest setting?

You know its those things we see on the side of the road that are a que from yesteryear that trigger memories. In the mid 80's my folks moved from Melbourne to a small town Yarram Yarram, I mentioned it in Wilsons Promontory. When I visited them from interstate we would normally arrive at night and as we got close the kids would look for the red lights in the sky slowly flashing it was quite a sight, they are all grown up now the youngest is at Uni. About four weeks ago a mate from long ago and I rode to Port Albert for some fish and as we recalled some memories the tower got a mention its place in a sheep paddock a constant. My folks have moved on as they say and last Monday as I rode past the tower I thought about all those times. I'm sure most of you have constant of all sorts that are along the roads we travel that trigger variant memories. As they say nothing lasts for ever and last Wednesday the tower came down. In a way it was good to see it standing for the last time in that sheep paddock as I rode past creating new memories on my 2011 CB1100.

Recently I found myself in [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tamworth,_New_South_Wales]Tamworth in northern New South Wales. I went in the car so I won't bore you with a travelogue.

Tamworth is a largish country city by Australian standards. It is famous for being the first Australian city to have all electric street lighting and, currently, for hosting Australia's largest country music festival in January each year.

Anyway, I found myself with not much to do one afternoon and was reminded of the existence of a motorcycle museum. It turned out to be just around the corner from where I was staying, so I went for a look.

The [url=http://www.powerhousemotorcyclemuseum.com.au/]Powerhouse Motorcycle Museum houses a modest collection of motorcycles all owned and maintained by a single owner. (Actually I gleaned there are actually 3 or 4 bikes owned by others on display). The owner is said to have a collection of around 200 bikes and is hoping to restore the remainder and display them one day.

Here's a random set of photos I took of the collection. It was a hard room to photograph in as the bikes were close together and there was a mirror behind a number of them. We'll start with the K0 CB750 which was amongst the first to be imported to Australia ...

I thought I'd show off a new painting my wife bought me as an early Fathers Day present. Actually... we found it together at an Art Gallery in Dunedin Fla. It's an untitled piece by Jesse Adams. I met the artist, he signed the canvas on the back to us, but I failed to ask him what kind of bike it is. It looks like a Brit bike but I'm not sure. In any event, I think it's pretty cool.

The river at the bottom of the mountain was beautiful this evening .. It was a 50 mile round trip that the wife took with me starting in our home town of Crossville TN.. Good time for sure .... .... By the way .... I didn't have a whole lot of time to take pics this round as my wife didn't like having to get on and off the bike .... Next seat time will be more detail orientated with better pics ! God bless !

Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone had any experience or insight into the brake pedal. I'm 6'2 and it is becoming arthritic to my ankles at the angle I have to keep my foot at in order to brake. I either rest it on the foot pedal and have to come on top of the pedal precious seconds late, or I hover over it but have it cramp up.

My idea is to lower the pedal and I'm wondering if this would be dangerous or a compromise on safety. This is only my second season and I want to make sure I don't do anything stupid.

Any advice would be awesome guys. Stay safe out there everyone.

This is a needle in a haystack for me and I've tried and tried to find it,
I think the members bike is from California, It's a picture of a 2013 that has been modded out with spokes for certain and maybe some black pipes, I want to see it with the spokes again, I'm getting the fever for spokes and want to check it out for some ideas....Thanks...
