If it's just the indicators the switch in the handlebars needs checking and/or the connector from the left handlebars inside the headlight bucket may have a poor connection somehow, i would verify the connector first.
The indicator system relay is located buried under the fuel tank, a bit of a job to get to it and not likely the cause.
You don't have after market indicators that could have caused a fault do you?
I use the same lubricant i have for the chain, sticky and not runny to keep the switch running smooth, same for all key locks on the bike from time to time.
Do you recommend to open the screws to lubricate? if yes , is there any order to it?
