I've taken up a bit of the slack.
As for the little hole, I chose not to drill into the Renthal bars what with them being alloy and more brittle than the original steel bars would be.
I ground off the left side plastic locating pin. The renthals come with a textured surface for some purchase.
On the throttle side I ground down and contoured the metal pin so it still touches the renthals. Throttle works fine on start up.
I read that aluminium foil helps with grip on the controls if they did start slipping about.
I would imagine that an aerosol spray of contact adhesive on the bars, allowed to dry, would then give a "grippy" surface that would stop slipping?
