Quite a cool stunt here. Don't think I want to try this on my CB1100..

  Airhawk Seat pads
Posted by: metalmaven_imp - 08-17-2015, 03:44 AM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (19)

I saw 2 old threads about the Airhawk seat pads but wanted to start a new one as those were kind of old.

Does anyone use the Airhawk seat cushions? What model?

  Charahola and Great Smoky Mountains
Posted by: Dharma_Jones93_imp - 08-17-2015, 02:15 AM - Forum: Seat Time - Replies (20)

Hello everyone! So, I am planning my first [adventure] tour on the CB. I figured I would "blog" the trip on here and update regularly. Will be two up, and camping two nights, hoteling the first (way too late and cuts an hour of riding through mountains at 1:00am).

Here's a quick itinerary:

Thursday evening - Cincinnati to Pigeon Forge (all interstate)

Friday morning - Ride to campground and set up camp, then proceed to Mt. Leconte for a day of hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains (should get great pics!!!)

Saturday - Ride the Charahola Skyway (more great pics)

Sunday - NC North back to Cincy

Let me know if you have any tips or tricks! Here's a pic to get you all started...

  How is your suspension set?
Posted by: goldeneye_imp - 08-16-2015, 11:50 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (7)

Hey guys, I have a brand new CB1100, and I was wondering how you have your suspension set. If it helps, I weigh about 235 lb and 6'0''. I have some soft luggage on the rear seat that may be loaded with 30-40 lb on long trips and likely just the essentials (including a small tool kit and such) on normal ride.

Thanks in advance.

  How many times
Posted by: the Ferret - 08-15-2015, 10:31 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (16)

How many times.....Have you said " I love this bike" in your helmet? Happens to me all the time and I found myself saying it again last night.

Had just come down a small hill with a left, right, left, right turn sequence then a short mostly straight uphill with a 90 degree left hander at the top. As I leaned it over for the 90 left hander and let the torque pull me out as I shifted 3 rd to 4 th and then 4 th to 5 th to accelerate down the long straight that followed, it just came out of my mouth. Totally involuntary, and absolutely true.

What a great motorcycle. Biker

  New battery.
Posted by: Tezza_imp - 08-15-2015, 07:18 AM - Forum: Mechanical & Technical - Replies (16)

Well my original battery finally gave out yesterday after 5 years and 4 months. I think the cold weather of late helped in its demise. Not a bad effort considering my 4wd battery died after only 3 years. Now I just need 2 new tyres. I will probably go with the Pirelli sport demons again.

  Lane splitting rules in California
Posted by: cbdtran_imp - 08-15-2015, 07:14 AM - Forum: Motorcycling - General - Replies (42)

California is the only state that lane splitting is legal where motorcycle share lane with cars, then there weren't rules to specify how to lane splits

New rules specify:

* No more than 10 MPH faster than general traffic

* No lane splitting above 30 MPH

Brake bleed order and procedure on 2013 ABS model.
Posted by: kmoney_imp - 08-15-2015, 06:38 AM - Forum: Mechanical & Technical - Replies (3)

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone knows the brake bleed procedure or order for a 2013 w/ abs.

I've done other combined abs Hondas, with the 7 bleed screws and proportioning valve. Just wanted to make sure these are similar before charging ahead with it.

Hey everybody,

I'm new to the forum and have had my 2014 standard for about a month now. I am excited to start contributing new content as a lot has happened in that short month. I'm taking lots of pictures and am excited to share when I get a moment.

In the mean time, I ordered a few parts from honda parts warehouse and called to see if they had any promotions, she gave me a 10% off code which seems to be working now, and I did't want to wait too long in case it stops working.

Promotional code:
"REJOIN10"

TSR Air Funnel Kit - Is it Worth It?
Posted by: beardyweirdy@me.com_imp - 08-14-2015, 08:20 PM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (9)

Hey All, I've got a TSR Air Funnel Kit burning a hole in my pocket and I'm thinking of fitting it next week. I've been waiting on a Service Manual before I did it.
There's a fair bit of work to do and it will be a bit of a faff. The bike has a re-Flashed ECU, Cat Cat Free Pipes, PCV and a TSR Intake Funnel. She's running sweet and has lots of power.

Has anyone done the mod, or something like and been impressed with the results?

I am being a bit lazy, it is summertime ;-) and I'm looking for an excuse to either do it or not I guess.

Opinions?

best
Kev
