Do your bar-ends spin freely?

I installed the left grip today as I began the installation. I was surprised that the polished bar-end that came with the kit doesn't "seat". It is mounted securely, but it free wheels.

I am looking at the CB1100 available at the local dealer. However, one of the points that is really bothering me is the heat in the middle east. Secondly, my rides are long (around 100 KM or more) at one time. For such long distances and high temperatures during day, would the CB1100 fare well or should we go in for CB1300 which has a decent cooling.

I need a recommendation for a good, not too expensive, throttle lock. That flasher switch inhibits the use of the generic one that the dealership sells. Thx

I would love a second bike, and this small shop has been pretty good to me over the years. Seems they have a shiny, low mileage CB1100 on their used sales floor. This link goes to their Facebook feed. This one isn't listed on their homepage.
