   Moriwaki Exhaust - Centerstand unavailable
Posted by: Seongmin Ko_imp - 04-02-2016, 09:21 AM - Forum: Mechanical & Technical - Replies (5)

Good day, sirs.

This is from Korea, and my first writing in CB1100 Forum.
I don't use English in my routine so please excuse my poor English.

Well, I bought and Installed Moriwaki Full System Exhaust yesterday.
The exact Product name is 'TWIN MEGAPHONE STAINLESS STEEL'.
Sound? Good. not too noisy, but it has good feeling vibration.
Design? Good for me. It seems very typical classic design I think.

Btw, it has one problem.
Original Center stand is unavailable with this nice exhaust.
When Center stand is up, a part of center stand touchs Silencer.
(pease refer to attached image file.)

Moriwaki guides that I have to remove centerstand but I hope to use it continually.
I searched centerstand stopper however I can't be sure what is the exact and right thing.

Can you give me a good advice to solve this problem?

  Farewell, so long F800ST
Posted by: LongRanger_imp - 04-02-2016, 08:32 AM - Forum: Other Bikes - Replies (8)

Sold my factory-lowered '07 F800ST today. It was a great bike but it wasn't being ridden enough to justify keeping it. The buyer got a great deal. Sad to see it go, but at least it went to a good home. Wishing him Happy Trails!

  Removing Fuel line.
Posted by: J.W._imp - 04-02-2016, 03:52 AM - Forum: Mechanical & Technical - Replies (7)

Hi I have tried today to remove the Fuel Tank off my 2014 CB1100, I am struggling to remove the fuel line fixing. Can anybody talk me through the process. You seem to have to press two sides of it and pull, I tried this but it doesn't seem to want to move.

Appreciate any help.

Regards
J.W.

  Rust
Posted by: dave - 04-02-2016, 01:28 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (1)

I discovered rust on both of the chrome plated shock bodies on my 2014 DLX - has anybody else experienced this? This surprises me because I have never experienced rust like this on any of my other vehicles here. My bike is 100% garage stored, and has only gotten slightly wet once in a slight drizzle last year. I was able to remove almost all of the rust using a stiff rag and some elbow grease, but some pitting remains in the upper area where the shock seals are installed. I would like to hear if anybody else has experienced this.

This is what the front of the bike looked like after 168 miles.

and that pic doesn't do it justice.
Bugs, bugs and more bugs.

Ordered a Delkevic 18" oval stainless exhaust, SW Motech engine guards, and a Hepco & Becker journey 42 top case yesterday. Top case probably take a while coming from Germany. Excited for packages to arrive!

A Victory Octane, piloted by Victory's stunt rider, Joe Dryden, has secured the Guinness World Book of Records record for a rolling burn out.

If Cormanus cares to mount a challenge on his CB I will volunteer to catch it on video Smile.

Cheers
