They did such a nice job removing 90% of the buzz on my CBR650F that I thought, "what better place to spend my money". So, I added some extra-heavy, stainless steel bar ends to my CB. Made by http://www.hvmp.com they are of excellent quality and finish. Ordered them Sunday, and they are installed on the bike today, Wednesday.

I will come back with a full evaluation after a few miles and some opportunity to feel the results.

First time looking to buy a new motorcycle and need some advice. A dealer in Connecticut is offering a New 2014 CB1100 Standard:

Bike - $7800
Destination - $600
Prep - $200

Total $8600 (not including tax/reg)

I was thinking $7,500 was fair but not really sure. Any input would be great. I understand the dealer needs to make their money but this is a 2 year old bike now.

Just replace my rear RA II Classic Race at 4000 miles.
Did not really need to but it was squared off a bit and wanted
new rubber to go the rally. I think I could have gotten 5-6k out of it
easy. But I really do ride like a old man even though I am about the
same age as the ferret I sure do not ride like him ( I think he needs to
eat more onions ). Even though I have ridden for 50 + I am not very good at it.
It still really gets me that Conti only markets these here through vintage race tire distributors. ( If they used normal Dist. I could get them form my old contacts ) .
No matter what people tell you these are notrace tires.
They fit well and stick well with out being warmed to much.
My front looks very good with out any cupping.

I took my 14 standard in for 600 mile service. After getting it back, I turn handlebars left, no problem. When I turn them right, cables, something squeak loud and I think they are the throttle cables, but not entirely sure. It's hard to pinpoint. I don't think it was there before, but maybe it was? Can someone do me a favor, turn your handlebars hard right with engine off...fairly quiet? or noise with rubber on rubber squeak / skwaaaak throughout the turn? Makes me think something was moved around, overly tightened...or maybe it was like that and I just never noticed (but I don't think so).

Just wanted to share some info. A 2357LL bulb and a 2397LL bulb are a direct fit for an 1157 bulb and they are both brighter than the 1157. The "LL" is long life, meaning double the life of a standard 2397 or 2357. Life of the LL bulb is less than the standard 1157 but longer than the regular 2357/2397 bulb. The 2357LL has a brighter taillight than the 2397LL but the brake lights are the same for both bulbs.

2357LL has a life of 10000/800 vs 5000/400 (hours) for a standard 2357 bulb
Cost is around $2-$4 for a pair of 2357LL bulbs.

It's a little vague in the manual. So, what are your warm-up procedures on your CB before you ride off?
