when I got back from this morning's ride my wife asked if I would run up to the grocery in town to pick up some eggs. Sure hon (any excuse to ride some more hee hee)

Anyhow after getting the eggs I was headed back thru town and spotted this ahead of me

followed her down Main and she turned off on the state route the same way I was going. Followed her about 2 miles to the light where I turn off and head on back roads to home. We caught the light and I got a close up pic

Looks like a Suzuki Burgman 3 wheeled conversion with a Givi trunk.
Love the dichotomy between the helmet/armored jacket and the capris pants/open toed sandals. Also love the Maltese Cross tail lights. Haven't seen any of them in 30 years. Used to be popular on 60's choppers and VW trike conversions lol.

She looked liked she was having a blast. Good for her!

Not in a position to afford a fleet of bikes, I have had to buy and sell my way to now owning 2 bikes. My 2013 Burgman 650, and the 2014 CB1100. When I purchased the Burgman I sold the Nomad and had to pick between it and the T100. Well since this thread is " I love my scooter" you can guess the choice. From day one I felt I had made a mistake. While the scoot did everything I asked it to it just was not a bike. One of the biggest problems I have on it is staying awake! It is way to comfortable. My wife and I can talk to one another up to 60 MPH. Your passenger has a seat so wide they can't fall off. It is so easy to ride/ get on and off/ put on the center stand, store and haul 3 cubic ft under the seat, etc. Even if you ride it so hard you need a rear tire in 3000 miles and a front in 5000. BUT it does not ride like a bike. So I buy the Honda, and suddenly the Burgman is a great bike. I now enjoy riding it equal to the CB1100. When other bikers attempt to repeal or reverse their "wave" when they see it is just a scooter I laugh because I discovered one of the best bikes ever made and it is in my garage. Thank you Honda for building a machine that is as true to my youthful memories as I want it to be, and for reminding me I love my scooter. When I dismount the Honda I always say " I love this bike" , and I think the Burgman does too.

For the record the Burgman does not like being called a scooter because the engine is frame mounted, so it is in fact a step through motorcycle. I just laugh and say po-ta-to po-tot-to. Mr. Scooter sir!

Rode 140 miles round trip to Park City. Picked up an anniversary gift for my wife. Nice day. Sunny. Traffic not too bad until I got there as the RAGNAR Race was going on. Picture was taken at the entrance to Echo Canyon on the I-84 heading west. Bike ran 80 for most of the way with no issues. I consider the Michelin PR3 I had put on yesterday to be properly broken in now. Seems a little noisier than the stock rubber.

I have been looking at the CB1100 for a couple months now and I ran across one that has 17k miles on it. Is there anything I should be concerned about, or should look at, with that many miles. This is my first bike, so I don't mind that it has so many miles, but I also don't want to worry about potential issues.

is $3,500 a decent price?

So...dropped the CB off today at 9 AM to have the rear tire changed with the Michelin Pilot Road 3 that Revzilla got to my house in a SMOKING 30hours after I pushed buy on their web site. As usual the two young gals a year or two out of high school were behind the counter. The gal that was helping me was the newer and lesser trained/experienced of the two and was struggling to find the CB model year in the computer (you could see the parked bike through the floor to ceiling glass windows just 20 feet away). When the other gal finished her texting she casually came over and said "no, it's not that old, look under...". In my approx. 10 minute interaction with her she never once said sir. All discussion was very directive. I left with the assurance the bike would be ready before COB. When I arrived at 4:15PM I once again had the great fortune to have this sterling pillar of customer service interact with me. Here's how it went verbatim...

Her: Can I help you?
Me: Yes, I'm here to pick up my bike
Her: ..last name?
Me: I had to spell it
Her: It's done, I'll have to get somebody to bring it out. What's the color?
Me: Red tank with chrome fenders
Her: Red?
The other gal: It's the one you thought was older then what it was. I'll get it.
Her: It's $98, cash or card?

As all this was going down the service manager came into the reception area and was talking with a mechanic. He knows me as I've come in several times for oil/tires/1st service/aftermarket bags and tank bags/jackets and so forth. Never said a work to me or even nodded in my direction.

The gal rang up the bill and as she was handing me the paperwork it kind of fell out of her hand as she was bringing it forward and it looked almost as if she was throwing it although she didn't mean to. At that point I left the paper on the counter and froze my stare directly on her and as she looked up she knew I'd had enough. she was caught off guard and apologized and handed me the paper and my key. I walked out just as the other gal pulled up and said "here you go...all done...thanks". She jumped off the bike and walked inside and I put on my helmet and rode off thinking how nice it would be if my dealer's name was Revzilla Honda of Ogden.

It's our one month anniversary and "the mighty one" is already looking slightly different. The more I ride it, the more I love it. 600 miles in one month a few mods.

Does anyone know of a manufacturer that makes a backrest for the driver? I ride alone and think it would be more comfortable for me.
