Does anyone know of a manufacturer that makes a backrest for the driver? I ride alone and think it would be more comfortable for me.

Corbin seats can be ordered with a driver's backrest.

Check a couple of the seat manufacturers. Saw a motorcycle back rest advertised a while back that was basically a larger diameter pvc tube covered in vinyl/leather that strapped down behind the driver and provided a stable back rest as well as storage. Looked better than my description of it, geared more to the cruiser crowd but looked like it would work fine.
Cafe style seat?

Has anyone considered a Corbin seat with a driver's backrest, similar looking as shown below (this is available on the Triumph Speedmaster):

Yes, Chuckk's wonderful image put the bug in my head to ask this Corbin-based question.
