I just received my Road Comet 2 fairing and man is it nice! Looking for any install tips from someone who has installed one recently. Figured that I would ask to avoid the learning curve. Appreciate any tips to avoid the gotchas.

The fairing has a wider frontal aspect with something interesting going on inside.

The new design is MotoGP approved.

A guy offered me $5700 for my 1100 so i may buy a Yamaha Fz07. The Yam is f ugly but fortunately when you're riding it you don't see the insect resemblance. Wish I could afford them both.

Just thought I'd share a mod that i came up with to be seen better but not detract from the aesthetics of the CB

These LED lights provide very little, if any increase in visibility for the rider at night but they look cool imo and up the chance I'll be seen....

Sparing the finite details;

I used 1/8" x 1" aluminum bar stock
Cut two 3" peices
Heated and bent into an "L"
Drilled a hole for the front fender screw
Smoothed out and rounded the edges on bench grinder
Installed on bike
Wired LED lights to red accesory plug in headlight bucket
Adhered lights to bracket
Drove off into the sunset

Hi I've been watching this forum for a while.Really like the new CB1100's !!! I'm 58 and do not have a modern bike,but I do have a bunch of 1972-1975 Kawasaki H2750 and S3400 2 stroke triples ( I'm on most of the triple forums) !!! I was hoping you guys could answer a question for me !!! I am thinking about buying a used CB1100 because its a cool bike and I can't believe you can buy a bike like this for the money (used) !!! Reading the post I know some don't like the new 2017 tank but I really do !!! I was wondering if for sure a 2017 EX or RS tank will fit a 2013-2014 standard CB1100 ??? Thanks for the info and I enjoy reading the post on this forum !!!

It was 55F in NW Ohio today so I took the opportunity to pick-up the bike from the local dealer today. I had some warranty work done (valve cover gasket, side cover replaced and idle issues) and the tires changed. God I missed her even though it's been too cold to ride. Every time I pulled into the garage and she wasn't there I felt like a part of me was missing. Anyways enough about my personality disorder. ..

I thought you guys may want to know I had the same RPM issue this past summer that a few of you have suffered so I asked them to call Honda and see if they would replace the idle control valve even though I couldn't reproduce the issue--told them it was random. The dealer inspection revealed "the connecting seem to valve had a bent connector and was very corroded". That is straight from the Repair Order. They cleaned and fixed the bent connector. I'll let you know if the issue presents itself this coming summer but I haven't read about anyone on this forum with said problem talk about a bent connector or corrosion.

Also, pretty awesome of the dealer was they inspected the the valve clearance at no additional charge while they had the valve cover off for the warranty covered gasket replacement. Honda East is a high volume dealer with really no competition here in Toledo so I didn't expect them to go the extra mile but they sure did. A bit of advice though, don't wait until spring to have your bike worked on in this region--there was a month plus wait last year when I called.
