Hello. Got a video here Starting to make some with the CB1100. I had to test the power of the bike with the exhaust and Bazzaz fuel programmer was installed. Have to say I like the extra power the gained. Thumbs Up https://youtu.be/_VaaHPDQdcw

Pannier mounts for Givi E21 Monokey or HB 30L Juniors
Posted by: ohiorider_imp - 01-28-2017, 02:13 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (12)

I will be taking delivery of my 2014 CB 1100 as soon as the weather breaks here in NE Ohio. I'd like to be ahead of the game, and buy a set of pannier mounts. I currently own a set of Givi E21 bags I would prefer to use. If nothing available for them, could pull HB 30 Liter Juniors off my Moto Guzzi 1200 Sport. Prefer to use the Givi on the CB.

I've found mounts at Twisted Throttle (SW Motech,) but they are rather pricey.

Any suggestions for less expensive mounts that would permit me to mount my E21 bags?

New member ...... thanks for any suggestions.

Bob

  Fork oil quantity
Posted by: john07876_imp - 01-28-2017, 01:53 AM - Forum: Mechanical & Technical - Replies (2)

Since an un-scheduled dismount in November I have a need to rebuild my forks with new stanchions thanks to a myopic cager. Now I have my bike back in the garage and parts on order I need to know how much fork oil to add, or if it is measured to a level what that level should be. I ride a CB1100A, 2013 UK model, all standard ATM. If level, is that measured with fork fully stretched out to it's longest? Oil grade advice also appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  2017 CB1100 2 Cylinder Sound
Posted by: HansCB_imp - 01-27-2017, 06:43 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (13)

I would like to thoughts about the new model's sound. It sounds like a 2 cylinder or 1 cylinder engine. I personally don't like based on the video link below.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1UU2ER3ob4

In my limited knowledge, it seems like they want to copy the sound of R ninety? For me, R ninety sounds like a smooth 2 cylinder by this one sounds like out of tuned 4 cylinder.

My question is, is it because of the new shorter exhaust only or did they worsen the valve timing even more?

  Fog light installation *HELP
Posted by: holy666diver_imp - 01-26-2017, 07:53 AM - Forum: Mechanical & Technical - Replies (12)

Hey guys.

Anyone installed fog lights on the cb before?? I got these off ebay:

[url=http://www.ebay.com/itm/2x-125W-CREE-U5-LED-Headlight-Driving-Fog-Spot-Light-Lamp-For-Motorcycle-Switch-/112175611116?hash=item1a1e2ffcec:g:kxgAAOSwUEVYCh5X&vxp=mtr]http://www.ebay.com/itm/2x-125W-CREE-U5-...5X&vxp=mtr

Two lights and a switch. My local dealer told me they would not install these for me. So I guess I'll have to try myself. I am going to attach them to my crash bars.

Any suggestions? Or has anyone done this before?

Do 2014 Std and Deluxe seats interchange?
Posted by: kballowe_imp - 01-26-2017, 06:52 AM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (9)

Do the seats from the 2014 Standard and the 2014 Deluxe model interchange?

I tried looking up the Genuine Honda Parts listing, and DOH ! OF COURSE they have different part numbers because different padding and covers.

The Deluxe tank is 1/2 gallon larger..... and I have already discovered that the OEM rear carrier installation is listed for a 2013/2014 Standard model - but not for the Deluxe model. Oh, I fitted one - but it was an interesting modification.

Sooooo - I wanted a Corbin seat - and they make no distinction between the Standard model and the Deluxe model.

That doesn't mean that it will fit - and they haven't a clue.

Maybe the "stupidiest" question on the forum.

There's a screw on the back of the horn...What is it for?
Each horn has one!
Just wondering!
