Black fender set
Posted by: Razor - 03-17-2017, 10:45 PM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (24)

After seeing Nemo's bike at last year's rally; I wanted to copy his lead.
If I remember right, he powder coated his fenders (they looked very good!).
I ended up ordering the black fender set from Mr. T (samurider.com). I've ordered other things from him. Very professional, answers questions in a timely matter and great communications.

(been having some problems with photobucket, and went with Flickr. If someone knows how to post photos from there; please help me out-Thanks!)

Click on the links, I think they work Blush

So after buying her, I really thought I was going to leave her stock. I've came across some good deals both here and ebay. I'm waiting for the slip on and i will be 100% done.

  CB Cover
Posted by: zippooriginal_imp - 03-16-2017, 12:58 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (8)

I have a new 2014 CB, the engine isn't even broken in yet. I have kept it in a covered carport. Even with a cover, windy rains have found their way to it. I needed/wanted something more and I found it.
The answer was a product called "Shed in a Box". It is a waterproof, UV resistant polymer 6x6x6 enclosed shed that has proved to be excellent. I love it.
It keeps my CB out of the rain and weather and heat of my New Mexico seasons. It also keeps my CB hidden from any eyes looking around for any bikes under an obvious cycle cover.
It only cost $140, which I consider a real deal since other cycle covers may cost twice as much.

So I went with a Uhaul truck and trailer for the trip. I cost me around $300 including tiedowns for motorcycles. The weather coming back from Cleveland was pretty good and the roads were nice and dry. The bike still got a little salty so in2deg C (35 f) I gave my new bike its first wash. Hopefully this cold weather will pass and the season can begin, I'm fully prepared!!

  Factory accessories (2017)

Just curious, has anyone looked into or actually bought genuine Honda accessories from the UK (or anywhere in Europe)?

I saw these accessories for the 2017 CB1100 EX European model, probably works for the US model too: http://www.honda.co.uk/content/dam/local...201115.pdf

Also, the regular model has a few items if you like chrome: http://www.honda.co.uk/motorcycles/my-bi...CB1100.pdf

I like the top cases in particular as they look good for the bikes line and are not too expensive and you can get a covered lid for the top.
