Well, I've been riding my 2006 Wee-Strom since I bought it new in Spring of 2007. It's been 10 years and 40,000 miles. I got my CB last summer and finally decided to sell the old girl. I've ridden her in sleet and ice, 110 F heat, hurricanes, driving rain, and the occasional nice day. Almost every mile was going back and forth to work. She never let me down and made every mile just a little more enjoyable.

I almost decided to keep her, but couldn't really see how I'd put any miles on her with the CB sitting there. Plus upkeep on two bikes is more work than I want. The gent who bought her has been out of bikes for 25 years and was wanting to get started again. He and I ended up talking more about the Honda than the Suzuki, so maybe another potential CB owner in the future.

I've said before that the ADV bikes are the new UJM's. It'll do everything and then some. The CB1100 is nicer in many respects, but the V-Strom was a workhorse. Hopefully the new owner will enjoy her as much as I did.

Just picked up the 76 two stroker and smoker to remind me of the blast from the past from india .. California rusty but got her running well .. starts in 2-3 kicks cold and doesn't have the hit of the rd350 but all in all runs great .. plan to keep it in the office garage for lunch time putting around

Hi everyone! I'm planning on taking a few 2-3 night camping trips this season on my '13 CB. I'll be packing all the traditional items (tent, sleeping bag, pad, chair, cooking gear, etc, clothes, etc.). I recently invested in a pair of hard case panniers and am looking to add additional storage to the tail, and/or add a luggage rack. Fortunately there are a lot of different options available to outfit our CB for camping equipment from tail bags, dry bags, tank bags, duffel bags, dry sacks, to luggage racks. My question is what are some camping gear luggage options some of you have used and would recommend? Sharing a few photos of your CB prepped for camping would also be helpful...

After hours of trying to convert the photos this is the best I can do. If someone would put them in "view" format that would be great!!! It didn't take be that long of make the stencils and signs!!!!!

I'm not the only one crazy enough to ride when it's cold and snowy in this family lol. My son rode over in the snow to get new tires on his Yamaha FJ-09 this morning and here are pics of my nephew (Honda NC700) and his son (KTM 390) out riding in the snow in the Sierra Nevada's yesterday

All I need is a couple of warm springlike days in a row, after one really good rainstorm to get the salt off our roads! My 2014 standard is waiting at the selling dealer for me to take delivery. And I refuse to trailer this lovely machine home. My last two bikes (2008 Moto Guzzi 1200 Sport and 2012 Moto Guzzi Griso) were purchased out of state and ridden home. The Sport (drive and ride) from New Hampshire, the Griso (fly and ride) from just north of Atlanta, home to Hudson Ohio.

The ride from Clarksburg WV to Hudson, Ohio will be a short one, barely 200 miles, taking historic US250.

But that's how she's coming home, even if I have to wait until the end of April for the right set of circumstances.

I'm thinking (imagining) this may be the nicest homecoming I've experienced recently.

Bike would start yesterday. Put the battery on my charger for a few hours said "full" bike turned once got it started then I treid a second time later that day and the bike wouldn't start and battery was dead again...

Had the battery for 3 years now. I'll get a new one but is that the average lifespan of a motorcycle battery? I thought they last longer... I have no accessories pulling from the battery either.

How do I post photos from my Photobucket account to the forum? I'm using the app on an Android device.

So today I got off of my sorry buttocks and FINALLY did the oil changes that I was intending to do the weekend when I was hit.....almost three years ago.....on both my bike and my truck.
Since I have actually gone back to work I felt the time had come to stop procrastinating and get to it. I hadn't been driving them when I was no0t working so I felt there was no reason to waste the oil changes at that time. Fortunately I still had all of the stuff required to do the job that I had purchased years ago and all went fine.
The funny thing is the bike takes about 4¼ qts where my truck takes 4½ quarts. I just found that odd with the size difference of the engines and all.

So now I'm at a fresh starting point with my vehicles and hopefully they will keep serving me well for miles and years to come.
