So, my bike won't start, I've made a video of it, listen to the sound of that.




I've posted my question already on various fb pages and consensus is, replace the battery.

I now nothing about this, because this would be my first ever faulty battery on a motorcycle..
I thought it was my starter thats broken and not the battery, since all other electrical stuf works and the noise came from the relays behind the left cover.
But a faulty battery can still make all kinds of electrical stuff work, except cranking the bike, it seems.
And that sound is supposedly a relay protecting the starter from 'overcranking' (dunno how to translate that one)
This shows how much I know about it.

But I had to ask itbhere as well, are we all in consent as well that its a bad battery?

FYI, the bike is owned by myself since Dec '15, second owner.
It had 2K on the clock (thats km) and now has around 21K.

Does anyone know where I can find a 19t front sprocket besides Pbi sprockets? Pbi sprockets doesnt show the 19t for the 2013 model on their website anymore. The drop down list just shows 15-18t. They do have a 19t for the 2014 model but Im not sure if it will fit on the 2013 model. Ive emailed them, just waiting for a response.

This item was in an email I received last night. It's for a Honda riding jacket. If you check out the rear view of the jacket you'll see an interesting statement at shoulder level touting Honda's racing program. Reminds me of the quirky warning labels seen on Japanese motorcycles from the 60's and 70's.

About a week and a half ago my son put out the call for a "Ribber Run" on Aug 19th. For those unfamiliar, a Ribber Run refers to a motorcycle ride to a restaurant in Portsmouth, Ohio that makes awesome Ribeye Steaks. It's about 100 miles from home, but the food is worth every mile, especially since you have to transverse some of the best curvy roads in southern Ohio to get there and back.

5 Family members on motorcycles, 3 friends on motorcycles, and 3 more family members who don't ride but wanted to follow in a car showed up. Since my brothers new T-120 has developed a non running issue I lent him my CB1100 for the run. He has of course ridden it before, but never for a whole day on a bunch of curvy roads, chasing a bunch of fairly good riders. He came away impressed with the CB.

My son led on his FJ-09, he was followed by friend Casey on a Triumph 675 Street Triple, friend Greg on a CBR250R, Greg's wife Stephanie of a Triumph 675 Street Triple, my brother on my CB1100, cousin Mark on a Triumph T-120 Black, my sons FIL on a Honda ST 1300 and myself on a ST 1300. In the car were my bil, Marks dad, and Marks brother.

Next week I am guiding my family Doctor on his KTM 990 for a few days over in SE Ohio and nw West Virginia, and I planned on stopping at The Ribber on our way back home so Doc could experience it. Yea baby.

Wondering where can I find a CB1100 patch for my jacket?

To start with I do know that this question should most likely be ask on a different forum but I have searched several Africa Twin forums and the more I search the less I have patience with those sites. So please bear with me.

I am looking to purchase the Honda version of the crash bars for a 2017 Africa Twin. I do know that there are other less expensive options, but I have an opportunity to get the Honda branded ones for a very good price. My issue is that Honda refers to them as a light bar, suitable for mounting fog lights. However they are made of steel and about the same thickness as those from other manufactures. Most people say to avoid them but they offer very little if any reasons as the why.

Does anyone in the forum know if these 'light bars' from Honda are reasonable protection for an Africa Twin?

Squirrels attacked my saddlebag this morning while I was breaking camp ... had to sew up with rope. Taking a bar break while I wait for guys to get here from Vegas. Love my CB

Gents, has anyone removed the rubber spacers from under the handlebar mounts on the top of the triple clamp? Pros/cons? more vibrations or didnt make a difference?

I am not a huge fan of the squishy feeling they give my handlebars was thinking about removing them when i flip my handlebar mounts around since i would already have them off.

Anyone have the torque value for the front and rear sprockets? I have a 2014 standard and will be changing to 17/43 and will need to torque these badboys back down appropriately.

Also is there a how to on changing the rear sprocket? I think i can figure it out but just in case its always nice to see if someone else has done it.
