Hopefully anyone in the path of this monster has taken the needed steps to either leave or brace themselves for what's coming. These are #1 on the short list of things I don't miss about living in Miami.

I was stopping -- almost stopped -- when my engine stopped. I put in neutral and turned the ignition off and on and went inside the store I was visiting. When I came out the bike started okay but after driving 50 yards to a stop sign it stopped again and now won't restart. Any ideas?

Not a CB but a honda.
It was the kill switch. I flipped it off and back on then gently toward the off position. It doesn't have to move even a mm. before it kills the engine. So perhaps I bumped it getting it out of the garage and then vibration moved it just enough to kill the engine.

I'm installing the Comet 1 Fairing from Samurider.com but I can't get the headlight to come out. I removed the two side screws, but the top part is not coming loose. How do I remove the headlight?

so I have about 5k on my 14 cb1100 and I noticed a buzzing sound now under load; riding on the highway, in all gears at speed...however goes away at idle and when clutch not engaged. it doesn't get louder or softer on acceleration and makes the sound when the bike is slightly cold and when fully warmed up.

I have changed the oil myself using Honda recommended oil and all levels are where they should be.

I initially thought it might be the factory tail light assy or lic plate bracket vibrating however I have confirmed this is not the case as all is tight.

should I be worried?

Here is my new game I play when riding with no place in particular to go.

This was my day on the 1100 while every one else boated....great ride..."my goal was to stay as close to the water as possible without hitting dirt or gravel roads"...only got gravel twice ;-).....But even then they were short valuable short cuts only a few hundred feet long that put me back on the path I wanted.



Google is so amazing....I love it I just hope they don't take over the world ;-)

I downloaded the Google Map of the area (20mb) to my Offline maps because I knew I would lose cell phone service, but with the downloaded map and GPS, I could still navigate using Google.

I just used the "my current location" button and I showed up as a little blue dot with a "headlight" on it showing my current direction.

I could zoom in or out while riding whether I needed more precision or not.

As long as I was heading in the general direction without hitting a dead end I was OK, but Google Maps were so precise they even showed all the roads in State Parks, Marinas, Camping Areas!

Note to self: order touch screen gloves as I sun burned my hands keeping my gloves off to work the screen.

I spent most of the day under 40 mph and about half under 20 mph....it was a nice pleasant day!

The road in the "Land Between the Lakes" was exceptional!

I can recommend the restaurant at Eddy Creek.



We ate their twice....I forgot to take pictures....but every sandwich was giant!

A couple of years ago my wife and I were touring the PNW..Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon and Wyoming. Our stop for one of the nights was in Lewiston, Idaho and running out of Lewiston is a road 129 in Washington and 3 in Oregon. This road had a famous name like the Dragon etc and it was called 'Rattlesnake Grade". It ran along the snake river and was quite devilish for awhile. From the town of Asotin (I suggest you get gas there, there isn't another station for about 80 miles) you go up a spiral winding hill, then a flat piece, then the Rattlesnake grade, then another flat piece, but the Rattlesnake Grade part is pretty cool.
