This popped up in my news feed today
[url=https://rideapart.com/articles/suzuki-unveil-new-modern-sv650x-tokyo-motorshow]Sv650x Rally
It’s not apparently written in stone if going to be added to the line up yet.. Apparently, it’s all going to depend upon interest.. I had an early naked SV650 and it was a great bike (sold it to fund a mortard).
I like the looks of it a lot.. makes me kinda wish Honda would come up with a 550 version of the cb again

Just finished our 15th annual ride. Two friends from Ottawa Ontario (where I used to live) joined me for a week through Pennsylvania, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia. We had my CB1100, and a 1976 Honda 750 Super Sport joined by our token Harley. As usual it was a great ride of over !800 miles with less than 50 miles on anything but secondary roads. The quality of these roads in the southern States was as always impressive.
This trip which was the first on my CB allowed me to really get a good idea of the strengths of this motorcycle.
Handling: The bike is very neutral especially in quick right to left transitions (or left to right) requiring little effort to bring it back and forth.
Transmission: I found the 5 speeds to be more than adequate with the bike turning less than 3400 rpm at 60mph. It shifts smoothly with little effort.
Comfort: With the Corbin seat and the riders triangle is near perfect for my 6 foot frame. I added a small bikini fairing (Samurider) and it blocked the airflow from my shoulders down with near zero helmet buffeting. There is virtually no vibration through the bars.
All in all I can see nothing that would entice me into trading it for a 2017. The only thing that would be nice is ABS but that in itself is not enough reason to drop another $7,000 or so on a 2017.
I love this bike!!!

went to start the bike the other day and the battery was dead.
charged it up and the bike still wouldn't start.
bought a new battery, installed and charged it. bike started up.
went to start bike today and battery didn't have enough to start the engine.
battery back on charger.
so it seems it might not be a bad battery but a draw from the bike.
i am not sure where to start to troubleshoot.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
TIA

| I inch riser |

I just added some 1 inch risers and it made a great improvement.
Thanks to ca200 for a good deal on pair he didn't need.
The extra inch up and a slight tilt back on the bars takes some weight off my hands and shoulders and makes the ride more pleasant.

Another well-deserved win to Marquez and an excellent performance by Dani Pedrosa. While not being a big Rossi fan, you have to hand it to the guy. What a mighty performance with a recently broken leg.
This year's championship hangs in the balance.

I had to drop the bike to avoid a Taxi that turned left in front of me in Harrisburg PA. No turn signal and seems as if he made a split second decision to turn in front of me into an alley. It was either put it down or nail him broadside. I managed to avoid making contact although my front wheel was just under the rocker panel of his van.
Plenty of witnesses (one was a police officer). Could have been a lot worse. I have minor scrapes and a pulled a muscle in my chest along with a slightly banged up knee. Be careful out there. You never know when someone is going to cross your path.
