Where do you get yours from?
I recently order some parts from Babbitt's online. Their prices are cheap
....but have a little bit of a complaint...
1) Shipping is a little high...
2) They take forever to fullfiled the order.

I think I would have been better ordering from the dealer (Even knowing they are crackheads)

Was watching this video and the evaluator stated that Honda purposely adjusted Cb1100 valves to run rough.

Can someone help me with the left side cover removal? I have the gasket released but the cover comes off about 1/4" and stops. It feels like there is something in there not allowing it to fully release. Should I keep pulling or is there something I'm missing? The electrical wire that goes in the top isn't the issue. Also does anyone have the torque values for the cover bolts?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I recently bought a used 2013 CB1100 and ordered a nice Shad topcase. The Shad mounting bracket was reasonably priced so I ordered it from the manufacturer. Well, after a month of waiting and several phone calls I received a message today from the sales rep saying the mounting rack for the CB1100 has been discontinued and it should be removed from the web site.

Guess I will look into other options... Anyone have a Givi or Hepco & Becker rack with a top case? I initially avoided Givi because from the photos it looked like the rack sat too close to the brake light and I thought a top case might then obscure the brake light if someone in a big SUV was driving behind me. Hepco & Becker rack looks like it mounts a few inches taller, possibly making the brake light more visible. Any opinions?

Wow, what a great day. Got to meet up with Houtman, and The A-Man on the Blue Ridge Parkway for a ride up to Mount Mitchell. We also had Jesse on his CB1100, join us. Yes we had to deal with the leaf watchers, but it slowed me down enough to be able to enjoy the sights as well. That was my first time going to Mount Mitchell, and all I can say is wow what a view. I understand that we got lucky with such a view. No Haze, no fog, and clear as a bell. Wish more riders could have met up. I'm planning some serious riding tomorrow. The CB1100 manual shows the chain slack being checked on the lower run about 6-7 links in front of the rear sprocket teeth. Since I don't really know where the front sprocket is located (so I can determine the center of the lower chain,) does that seem like a good spot to check the chain slack? Difficult to describe without an illustration.

I want to get the chain adjustment as close to spec as possible, since many on here have told me that the 'clunking' I sometimes experience on downshifts, or simply backing off the throttle regardless of gear, may be in part due to a too-loose chain.

But at the same time, I don't want to destroy a good chain by running it too tight.

My chain doesn't feel all that loose, but when I measure the slack, I'm showing approx 2". That's measured by pushing the lower run down as far as it will go, and then pushing it upward as far as it will go.

If I push up on the lower run closer to the counter shaft sprocket, the chain can be pushed into the swing arm.

I'm not trying to overthink this, but I would like to eliminate some of the drive line clunk without going too tight on the chain.
