Hi all , I race an old CBX 550 and want to put CB 1100 wheels on it . Has anyone replaced with 17s and want to sell their old ones ? Cheers Ron

We all know about the flow of 2014 bikes still coming from Honda and still leftover in dealerships at jaw-dropping prices, and we just had a new member find and purchase a new-in-crate 2013. The anecdote I was told when I bought my '14 in 2017, was that Honda has a habit of doing this kind of thing with their motorcycles, basically because they make too many. What other bikes are currently on the market suffering from the same circumstances as our CB? are there any other manufacturers still distributing 2014 models of a bike at bottom basement prices right now? I don't even know where to look to find this out.

Thanks to all your input and help. I pulled the trigger and bought a Brand New 2013 CB1100 left over this evening. I walked in and offered $600 below what they were asking and got it! I had been in to look at it 6-7 times over the last year or so and decided tonight was the night. Thank you for all the input on the five speed not being a deal breaker and if the bike was good for touring. I went in a few minutes before close and was excited that I forgot to take pics although you all know what it looks like haha! I'll probably take delivery this weekend. I'll miss my old bike dearly but I am definitely ready for some CB adventures and look forward to chatting with all you!

Anybody got a set of stock handlebars,2014 standard I could borrow for some measurements? I’ll pay all shipping and will return in a timely manner in same shape as recieved.

Changed out Rear tire today. Pulled it off and took to Cyclegear to mount for me. Bought the Tire from them. Went with Pirelli Sport Demon 140/70/18. Changed out Rear Brake Pads(OEM) as well. So far so good. Oil change this week as well. Bike running nice and smooth and biking the new tire so far. Plan to change front tire in a couple of weeks to Sport Demon as well! Was not as hard to remove as I thought. Did not hurt I had a good friend to help coach me along the way as well. Extra set of hands makes it easier!

A few of you know my son B. I got the email that he had gone down while we were at the ST owners rally in SE Ohio Friday night. Not the kind of email you want to get!

He was riding his FJ-09 home from work Friday evening and hit some antifreeze left by a broken down car in a left turn (car was parked with hood up 1/4 mile later). Said the front end slid out from under him like he hit a patch of ice. No time to react.

Minor road rash on his left hand and both knees ( He was wearing full face helmet and armored mesh jacket but no gloves and wearing jeans and gym shoes... It was in upper 80's temperature, and he only lives 8 miles from work.). Bike has usual low side rash, left engine cover, mirror, clutch lever end, turn signal, left hand saddlebag. Just scared him for the most part, but at least it wasn't a bad wreck. Nothing broken but his spirit. First time for him on the pavement in 20 years of street riding.

He learned a lesson about wearing gear even if it's only for the 8 mile ride to work. Says he's going to get a pair of armored over pants he can wear over the jeans and khakis he wears to work, and some boots that look like work shoes.

I’m going to replace my bars with a set from Renthal. My question is are these aftermarket bars narrower than the stock OEM bars and can the bar ends be removed without affecting the bar weights? Its so cramped in my garage with my car in there a narrow handlebar would really help. I’m looking at a low handlebar with a 7/8 OD.
