My good riding buddy and I got my 1991 R100GS to a really good BMW technician today for some tranny work, carb rebuild, and other odds and ends. Probably a new driveshaft, too. I've owned this old gal since March 1991, and can't bear to part with it. She's a great traveling machine.
On the way home, I mentioned seeing the retro Kaw at the dealer when I stopped to pick up some parts, and we decided to stop off and kick tires. We weren't buying, just looking.
Is it a Z900? Whatever, it's a pretty machine. This one was in root beer and orange, like some of their bikes from the 1970s.
The dealer is multi brand, including Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki, as well as Aprilia.
Big surprise, there was a black 2014CB1100 with a 'please don't sit on this bike, it's sold' sign on the saddle. Looked around a bit more, and found another left over '14 for sale. They also have a lovely 2017 on the floor. That is one classic looking Honda!

Came across a link to a site that is taking orders for a cool Honda shirt.
The campaign for taking orders is running until Sunday Aug 19th or perhaps Monday depending on how the math works. Once the campaign ends they make the shirts.

Anyone got em? Anyone like em?
I was prepared to do some digging on the search function, decided to just make a new thread since I haven’t personally seen it discussed on here.
Basically, in an effort to be more comfortable on the CB (without a windscreen), I have found myself scooting way back on the seat and leaning into the wind. At 70 mph, butt back about as far as I can go before encroaching on the pillion section, I have found a really nice equilibrium. Very little pressure on my wrists as the wind is holding me up and I don’t feel like a sail sitting straight up in the stock position. Only problem is, now my feet feel like they’re on foward controls, which is badddd on my back. Real bad. Lately I have been hijacking the pillion pegs to mitigate this. Before you laugh, it actually works flawlessly. ( Assuming you’re cruising and don’t need to shift/brake). My feet are supporting my lower back, pushing me towards the bars instead of just hanging there like pieces of meat.
Anyway, I know rearsets are out there for this bike, just trying to get a reading on who uses them and any advice. Thanks so much.
Also before anyone suggests different bars, I am using the Type 2 bars and have no issues with them, they sit right where I want them. From the hips up, I’m all good. Hips down need revision.

hello everyone. I really like the cb1100. now I own a suzuki vstrom 650 k7, the first series, and in the past I had yamaha xt500 and 2 trial bikes. I am 170 cm tall and I am very afraid that the cb which is 255 kg is too heavy for me. I've read a lot of reviews from magazines and users. Everyone says it's very manageable. I can not do a test of the bike. I climbed above only from a stationary position. I ask for advice. THANK YOU !!!!!!!
