On the other side of Oregon, east of the Cascades, it's another story.

Headed out yesterday morning at 10am to "avoid the heat" of Gresham. I had been with extended family the last 7 weeks straight, and it was time to get away...

Checked out Le Page park where the John Day River flows into the Columbia. Temps were in the low 90s by noon.



Headed east along I-84, hugging the Columbia River to Arlington, about two hours away.

After lunch, it was time to head inland, following hiway 19 south.
Just south of Arlington, came across the aftermath of a brush fire caused by one of the wind turbines that burned over 2000 acres on August 2.

I went and did it finally! Traded in the CB on this new Transformer lookin' thing. I'm youngish, so the design aesthetic appeals to me. Hoping to keep the mods to a relative minimum. Bought the Yamaha GYTR quick shifter kit and ordered a windscreen. I also want to get rid of the awful looking turn signals. I don't plan on throwing a ton of money at it, at least I hope.

If anybody in Central Texas is looking for a clean used CB1100, I know where they can find one...full disclosure, I work at the dealer where I traded it in and I will get paid a commission when we sell the bike, haha.

Haven't ridden this one other than around the building, so will report back more on my riding impressions. I've ridden these, the FJ09 and XSR900, so it won't be a revelation to me, but some of y'all might like a fresh perspective of how this bike rides and performs.

I am an owner of a new 2014 CB1100 so I have a few mods in mind to expand the bike's use for me. I would like to relocate the rear blinkers as a few of you have but would like to use a purpose made mount for this. I saw a Kajima blinker relocation bracket with hardware and wire extensions listed for a CB1100 EX. It is sold by Webike Japan and they also have a Plot bracket for quite a bit more. I don't know of any frame differences between my standard and an EX that would prevent me from using this bracket with the stock lights and maybe that is a designation of CB1100 sold elsewhere than the US? I only know a little about the US models and that is the type I bought and a deluxe version. Has anyone else used this mount on a standard CB1100? Thank you.

I wanted to put up some info I got when I modified my 2013 CB1100 with a Power Commander V. I have the Yoshimura 4into1 Full Exhaust mounted on the bike, and I always thought it ran lean with stock fuel injection map. Although it didn't run badly. So, I invested a bit and got the PC-V.

Before I got it on the bike I looked into mapping files for my set up, but didn't find the exact one. So, I reached out to Power Commander and they got back to me with a custom map that they said came as close as they could determined based on running the Yoshimura Exhaust and a K&N air filter.

The install was super easy, and uploading the file they sent was no problem either. The entire process took 30 min. This video was super helpful:

Immediately I felt like the PC-V made the throttle and accretion more responsive. No idea about extra HP, but it felt quicker for sure. Not drastic, but seemed to run a bit smother and like I said more responsive. It does however still have some decent gargle and popping on deceleration - which I'm looking into.

I think it may still be a little lean too. The bike runs a bit hot (could be the after-market exhaust plus simply summer temps. Just seems hot to me.

The file map the guys at DYNO gave me is available. Feel free to ask if you'd like it email to you.

Again - map for 2013 CB1100 with Yoshimura full exhaust and K&N filter.

Any tips riders might have to dial this in better - or suggestions to reduce decal popping are appreciated.

I wanted to show off my 2013 CB1100 and call out the mods. Some came with the bike, some are mine. Just a run down in case anyone is interested or can offer advice/suggestions.

I'm a vintage lover on most days - so admittedly I trend toward making it look more retro, rather than modern. I'm loving the new tech - just want to stay "classic."

That said - the bike came with:

-Full 4into1 Yoshimura stainless black ceramic coated exhaust.
-Front and rear HyperPro shocks
-Graphite Black Color CB1100 side covers
-MFW variable mount rider footpegs
-Rizoma mirrors
-Honda heated grips
-Road Comet front fly screen fairing (I only mount it for open road rides)

I added and modified:

-Lucas Tai light and bullet turn signals from: MaundSpeed.com
-Stock fuel tank, custom painted for a smaller, flatter, vintage inspired look.
-Honda Motors NOS 60's tank bages
-Power Commander V - mapped to Yosh and K&N filter specs.
-BatteryTender USP port for phone/gps
-Lower Honda OEM Type II handlebar from Samurider.com
-Painted the step bars black to match the frame.

Eventually I'd like to:
-Get a set of spoked rims!
-Look into smaller fenders - possible painted rather than chrome

Well, there might be a few of you here who remember my eternal struggle to find peace with my CB1100. It was and is such a lovely bike, but I have never been able to be completely satisfied with it. Comfort has been my main complaint. Despite all that I didn't like about it, I just couldn't bring myself to let it go. It almost happened 2 years ago when I was going to sell it to a customer of the motorcycle dealer where I work. He ended up hesitating with his purchase and it was enough to make me change my mind.

Here we are today and I just finished swapping all the stock components back on the bike and it will be ready for one last ride to work where I am trading it in. Long story short, sold my Grom for decent money and since I am a shop employee, I get the pro-deal on any of the Japanese brands. So, with some manufacturer rebate assistance on a leftover non-current, I am going to be twisting the throttle on something new.

Since it isn't a done deal as far as exchanging money and my title, I am going to wait until everything is finalized to post in "Other Bikes" about what I bought. Let that be a surprise and feel free to guess what it might be. I plan on still hanging around since this has been the best forum I am ever been a part of. Truly, there has been so little bickering and unpleasantness. Wish other places were like this. Stay tuned...

So basicly has anyone converted CBR RR throttle bodies to a cb1100 I bought a 2014 and starting my build and more power is a must this is my first post and I couldn't find anything on this topic
