Honda Jacket from Cycle Gear - Frulk_imp - 02-15-2019 I ride the CB with an armored ICON mesh jacket that's approaching the end of its service life. The zipper is coming apart and overall the jacket has seen better days. I'm thinking of maybe going with this jacket from Cycle Gear. $199 with armor. If anybody has one and can provide feedback on the pros and cons that would be appreciated.
RE: Honda Jacket from Cycle Gear - the Ferret - 02-15-2019 No info on this particular jacket, which looks very nice btw, but all the jackets I have seen at Cycle Gear have " female" zippers. They connect and pull up with your left hand instead of your right. Don't know if that would bother you, it did me. RE: Honda Jacket from Cycle Gear - Frulk_imp - 02-15-2019 Since I'm used to driving on British and Irish roads it probably won't bother me.......probably RE: Honda Jacket from Cycle Gear - cblais19_imp - 02-15-2019 Are you buying it as a cool jacket, or to protect you? If it’s the latter, run away screaming from Sedici stuff. The only Honda branded gear I’ve seen worth anything has been the one time Klim made the Latitude in Africa Twin colors/branding; and some leathers I’ve seen floating around. Everything else (to include the new AlpineStars branded suit) is crap. If you’re specifically in the market for a mesh jacket, the Klim Induction isn’t terrible for ~$150 more. Spidi has a new one coming out in the Spring (should be on Revzilla soon) that’s certified to the latest European standards for protective gear at the $350 mark as well - and includes a waterproof liner that can be worn over or under. If you’d be ok with highly perforated leather, Revzilla is running heavy discounts on some of the Dainese 72 collection right now - the perforated models are perforated on all sides and up & down the arms. RE: Honda Jacket from Cycle Gear - GoldOxide_imp - 02-15-2019 I had a Honda-branded 3/4 length rider's jacket made by Klim. It was red and excellent for winter use. It had an ADV look about it. Probably could have been used for snowmobiling. Gave it away last year because I out grew it. It was the second best rider's jacket I ever owned. |
