Does anyone knows how to change air/fuel ratio of the entire rpm span?

Took Sparky's bike for a morning ride with the excuse of warming the oil, time to change. Been hot and humid so riding early is best, home by 11AM to beat the heat.

Stopped to view this big peanut field.





Turned on the road leading home for a photo and had the good fortune to get some Pileated Woodpecker pics.

I had a nice couple of days on the bike last week. Part of it was a ride on HWY 17 in the Western Catskill Mountains of New York State USA. I don't usually dig the highway too much, but this time there was no air and no traffic. It was dusk. The bike was really humming beautifully. I guess it always does but I could really it enjoy on this ride. 4krpm in 5th gear is about 70-75 MPH for me. That is one fine sweet spot. I hope it stays this way forever because I am racking up the miles.

I did try to look for an existing thread but couldn't find any that helped me, so here it is:

The missus and I combine for 125kg (275lbs) give or take 5kg (10lbs). With luggage it tops at 145kg (320lbs).

Curretly the rear preload is set to the standard 2nd notch. Do you guys have any idea if I should adjust to the third or fourth?

The owners manual doesn't give ranges like other manuals do.

Also, would 20kg of luggage make a difference so big that I would have to go a notch higher than just with the missus on board? (Say if with the missus is third notch, with the additional luggage is fourth)

I know, this ought to be clear as day for any thinking rider, but I have never taken anyone for a long two-up trip before.
I’m now far, far away from home, and the tires are done for.
A bit of googling, and I have located a tractor and farm equipment dealer about an hour away who has one set of Bridgestone T31 and claims he can change them for me.

I guess my point is that I’m a cuss (no, not a cuss. I wrote dumb-a**), but a lucky one.

Other than that, this is an amazing trip! Get your a** to Norway. It’s motorcycle heaven, six months out of twelve.

Just returned from three days in Paonia, Colorado, at the 49th Annual BMW Top of the Rockies rally.

I decided to take my R1200R Classic. Of the roughly 600 people in attendance, there were lots of GS’s and RT’s (and a surprising number of Africa Twins) but only one other R1200R. Interesting how many folks were admiring it.

I thoroughly enjoyed the bike over the 3 days, 900 miles of riding. Very glad I took it and not my RT!

This photo was taken on the Dallas Divide, between Placerville and Ridgway, CO. Telluride is on the other side of those peaks.

I just looked at Tour and Ride's website and saw a closeout on a rear rack for the 2013 CB1100. Site shows 3 available. This is the Kappa rack which is identical to the Givi rack.

Looks like a good deal for this rack - for 3 of us anyway.

This year I didn't travel as long and far away as I did in the years before.
But nevertheless I roadtripped to my neighbour country Denmark for 9 days and wrote a Roadbook about the trip in German. Though you most likely can't understand what I'm writing about you can take a look at the pictures and guess what could be the concerned text.

I took the W800 instead of my CB this time, both are lovely bikes to tour with.

I have a 2014 CB1100 Deluxe in my collection that has been ridden very little. about 447 miles to be exact. I rode it a couple of weeks ago after cleaning it and servicing the oil and filter and everything seemed fine. Today, I rolled the bike off the centerstand and almost lost it as the front brake would not stop the bike at all. Front brake lever is quite firm, but absolutely no front brakes. Tried bleeding the front calipers but no fluid comes out and the lever remains firm even with the bleeder screws open. It's not the master cylinder, loosening the hose connection banjo allows fluid to pump out, so now I'm thinking that the ABS modulator has an internal failure like a stuck solenoid valve. The ABS warning light illuminates, does a self check, and goes out.
Anyone have an idea what's going on?

Hi everyone. I'm a newbie who just experienced my 1st flat tire on my
2017 CB1100ex that has spoke wheels and tube tires. Punctured my rear tire last week from a piece of screw on my way home. Got the bike brand new with brand new tires but unfortunately caught a flat. My question is, if I have the tube fixed(patched)can I use the same tire again? What recommendations do you guys have to get me up and running safely on the road again and to save me some money? Saw the helpful video of Terry Cox who converted his wheels to tubeless from BART. I'm also considering that option but it also depends how much that would cost me. I live in NY and I know shipping those wheels to Italy and getting them converted to tubeless won't be cheap. Has anyone in the forum
with spoke tires converted to tubeless? Any recommendations? Wish HONDA sold the CB1100RS here in the US market.
