  Chain lube frequency?
Posted by: Michael252_imp - 06-02-2013, 11:25 PM - Forum: Mechanical & Technical - Replies (41)

Hey guys, maybe you can help with this.
Assuming "normal" riding conditions (normal in this case means no riding in the rain or no dusty dirt roads), how often do you apply chain lube?

Thanks

  Tool kit?
Posted by: Buffalorider_imp - 06-02-2013, 10:54 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (9)

This has been driving me nuts since I tool delivery.
I asked what tools were in the kit and the salesman said that Honda stopped delivery tool kits a few years back.
That didn't sound right to me.
The owners manual references one.
I looked at two other dealerships and their bikes did not have one either. Honda micro-fiche on line showed a tool kit and I found one bike on display at a 3rd shop that had a pouch, an Allen wrench and a screw driver. Every CB1100 I've seen has had a serial number in the low two digit range, mine is mid 50s. This leads me to suspect that maybe the early bikes slipped thru without them?
What were your bikes delivered with?

  Suspension setup
Posted by: Bbref36_imp - 06-02-2013, 02:25 PM - Forum: Mechanical & Technical - Replies (9)

Forgive my ignorance , but I have no idea how to set up the suspension properly for my CB. My last bike was a motocross bike and with my CRF 450 the first step was to set the sag. Then adjust rebound and compression as needed. I would assume rebound and compression can be set on the CB as well but I have no idea how to set it for best performance. I literally have not had a street bike since I sold my CB 400 SS in 1984. I haven't check the manual yet, but I was just thinking about it now and I thought I would throw it out to the group.

Puig naked light tint shield for sale
Posted by: Minnesotajeff_imp - 06-02-2013, 12:33 PM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (10)

$65, free UPS shipping to lower 48.

Like new, I installed it about 2 weeks ago, but switched to a NC Deflector today. The Puig is very sleek, very simple to install, and solid. No scratches, just like new.
I tried adding a couple photos of it on the bike but the site says the photos are too large and they won't upload. Sorry!

I found a usa dealer and bought the rear rack, the Journy tc42 top case and a backpad for the wife. The website was [url=http://www.motomachines.com]http://www.motomachines.com
What do you guys think of hepco and becker? I hope this was good purchase considering the price! Although alot cheaper than buying the honda top box from webike japan.

Webike Japan - auto USD conversion, free shipping?
Posted by: Guth_imp - 06-02-2013, 02:41 AM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (3)

I have not been to the Webike site in a while now, but popped in this morning just to browse. Then it struck me that items were being listed in US Dollars. It also appears that if you order over $497 worth of items, the shipping is free. How long has this been the case?

CB 11 domed side cover decals
Posted by: jamboa_imp - 06-02-2013, 01:06 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (12)

Thinking about designing some CB 11 side cover decals in the domed type of decal. I was thinking something similar to the original 750 four with honda wing below but open to suggestions. Mimimum order is 100. How manybof U. on here would be interested. Price drops alot if we could get 250 etc.

  TWOs in Suches, GA
Posted by: Bonafide_imp - 06-01-2013, 11:11 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (3)

So I'm out riding my usual favorite roads yesterday for the first time with the CB11 - as I pull into newly 're-opened' T.W.O.'s .. there's another CB1100 rider pulling in just in front of me. While we're exchanging handshakes and chatting .. another CB1100 rides past on Hwy60. The bikes attract a crowd of guys asking lots of questions too. I imagine this will be a very popular bike if Honda keeps sending them over here.
