Hello, I'm new to the forum but not bikes. Fell in love with the new CB. Has anyone else noticed a few for sale with VERY low miles? I found one near me and will call the guy tomorrow and see what he says. Also, how are the vibes on this bike? I've seen mention of vibes in the seat around 5000 rpm and bars also. Be honest, now. Also, I'm 6'2-any complaints from other tall riders on the footpeg placement?

I bought my 1100 last week in Clearwater, Fl. It has what
I believed was standard... blacked out engine and 'goldish'
colored header pipes. This weekend at the dealership in
Roswell, Ga. I peaked in the window on Sunday (why are
only HD dealers open on Sunday?), and saw a CB1100 on the
floor with what appeared to be a non-blacked out engine
and chrome header pipes. What's the deal?

I work out of Knoxville, TN so I have about 3 options for the commute home to Waynesville, NC. Yesterday I got off about 7am so decided to swing down through Deal's Gap, which only adds about another 35 miles or so. I usually don't bother with it during the 'busy' season but the morning was so pretty I just couldn't resist. Another reason is that I really haven't given the CB a good 'curvy road' workout since I've owned it.
Anyhow, the dragon was relatively quiet with just a few sports cars and early risers stretching their legs; the fast sports cars do make me a little nervous, I must say, as they are usually - naturally - right on the yellow lines in the curves. At any rate, the lithe CB was right at home...
I got passed early on by a VFR but he was the only one that showed up in my rear view mirrors for the entire ride through. I did have a little 'moment' as I rounded the last curve and descended down to the store as - coming my way - was a sportbike rider that had lofted the front wheel very high and, and was close to losing the whole plot just as I met him (or her!)... Gulp!!
Anyhow, stopped at the store for a few minutes and chatted with a couple of guys about my age who were very interested in the bike. For the last leg I dropped down through Cherokee then up towards Maggie Valley and turned rt onto the BRP where I met a Ranger running radar; I was right at the limit so threw him a friendly wave...
Gassed up at the house and the total mileage for the ride was a modest 155 compared to coming straight home which would be about 102. Much more importantly, I did get to do what I set out to do on this ride which was to further evaluate - on a very, very curvy road - this honest, amazing motorcycle and it just reinforces my overall total satisfaction with it...
We've bonded!
Pete C

Hi all, in Australia the CB comes with a low seat as std. I am finding this a little too low and would like to try the slightly higher std seat that the US spec bikes are fitted with. Can anyone tell me where I would be best to go to purchase one of these from the US that offers international delivery. Or maybe someone has one available that didn`t suit them? Any assistance appreciated.

i went to look at a job today for my company in brooklyn. growing up in the bronx, brooklyn was like a foreign country to me (hey mister, do i need my passport to cross that bridge?). but after working around the city for the last 40 years i have come to appreciate the boro. like a fine wine it has matured and grown with age. anyway, i ended up on the waterfront in the park and i took this photo of the cb1100 with the brooklyn bridge and freedom tower in the background.
i then rode across the brooklyn bridge and rode down to freedom tower to get a closer look.
it was a great morning.
