| Staintune sound, just "OK" |

Installed my Staintune yesterday.
Not all perfect though.....I think the sound is a little too "boomy" or like its coming from a megaphone, little too hollow, little to cheap sounding. Mostly from idle to 3K RPM, at highway speed and no load, you can barely tell its on.
This is all based from sitting "on" the CB, have not heard from afar as a bystander would. Also compared to what my older 600 and 900 Ninjas sounded like with 4 into 1 headers. They seemed a lot tighter, less boomy. Kinda like a high end stereo with good bass compared to cheaper system.
I'm still glad I got it as compared to stock, but was hoping for more sophisticated sound.
Anyone else feel this way about the sound?

This is my CB with The Skyway Bridge
in St Pete in the background. The lighting
was bad, but the bike still looks good!
Resize worked... Hooray!!! Now if I could
get more than one shot on a single post!

Just curious, who is running 10w-40 in their bikes? I live in FL and it is HOT! I just noticed the owner's manual only mentions 10w-30, but the service manual lists both.
I have always run AMSOIL 10-40 in all my air cooled bikes without issue.

| Plexi 2 windscreen |

I ordered and installed a plexi 2 from National Cycle a couple of weeks ago. I have not seen much in the way of reviews on this screen so I thought I would throw out my 2 cents. First I am 6ft 2in so my review may not be applicable to everyone. My first ride down the interstate at 70 mph I was really impressed at the amount of air deflected. It made a huge difference from a comfort standpoint. Now for the negative side. For me it created a lot of extra wind noise around my helmet. I didn't notice any buffeting to speak of, but the increase in noise left me resorting to using ear plugs.
I would like to hear other peoples results with this windscreen. For me personally, (and I realize I am taller than the average rider) I think the screen needs to be a couple of inches taller to deflect the air above my helmet. For the shorter rides I have been doing lately I took the screen back off.
I haven't seen any taller windshields and am actually considering going to a shorter windshield that leaves my helmet in clear air but takes some of the air pressure off my chest area.
I currently use a full face Bell helmet. Does anyone know of reviews of helmets regarding quietness?
