Threw the O2 sensor in as a reference. Finally got that pesky cat out. Turns out the factory collector isn't that nice haha but I now have a much better flowing header made of quality materials! Going to weld it back together today. I cut along the rear seam so I'm hoping it looks factory. If it doesn't though, I have a spare header that's going right back on. If it turns out nice, hey, who would like a better flowing header for cheap?! thought you guys might want a look inside this bad boy. Enjoy!

Finally fitted my set of arrow 4 into 2 into 1 headers , the quality and fit is first class and the gain in engine torque is impressive can recommend this product
mods now include
arrow headers / megacycle muffler /pcv /auto tuner/tsr air funnel/gazi shocks/low bars/braided brake lines/custom made seat /fork brace/renthal grips/conti cr 150 rear/110 front etc

I am thinking about higher handlebars for my CB and where can I get some longer cables for throttle, front brakes, etc... Would like to stay with a stock look if possible.
Anyone remember the Norton 750 High Rider?? I would like that look if possible. I sure can use some help. Thanks folks !!! God Bless.....

Figured I share this experience with you fine gentlemen. I was riding out of my neighborhood this afternoon when I noticed a motorcyclist stranded by the side of the road. The site of this man cought my attention, not so much for the look of dispair and confusion of this man's face. Nor the dripping sweat inflicted by a hot afternoon in the Sunshine State, but because of his bike. I recognize that motorcycle I say to myself. I have one just like it in my garage which also happens to be broken down. I stopped to ask him if he was ok, but from where I was standing all I could hear was a mumble. Obviously having ear plugs did not help either. I make a U turn to meet him. He tells me his battery is dead. He doesn't have jump cables either. What to do? I asked him where he lives. He tells me in the nearest appartment complex just down the road. I can see the building from here. We are talking 300-400 ft tops. I am sure he can push it there, he is a big fellow. I know I have pushed my bike before many times for running out of gas, and I don't remember anybody stopping to help me either. So I tell the guy "it is not that far, you'll get there". "BUT WAIT" he shouts, then asks me if I could help him push start the bike before I take off. Mind you this is a Honda VF1100C Magna V65 (1982). Dry weight 246 kg / 545 lb, and the rider at least another 240 lbs give or take. No way I can push this fellow! It is not like he is making an attempt to get off his saddle. Even if he did, he couldn't manage to jump back on the bike while in motion? Oh well! I stopped, so let me finish the good deed. It occurs to me that perhaps I could place my foot on his rear pegs and push him with my mighty CB1100. That did not work. He was too heavy and on top of that he had a gear enganged ready to release the clutch when needed. Having the gear enganged offers some resistance to the rear wheel preventing it to roll freely. Enough of this, let me park my bike and just push the dude. Here we go, I grab the sissy bar, bite my teeth and give it a good push down the street. Say about 25 feet. Hooray! The bike starts and the dude takes off... Yes he is gone. There was no turn around to say thank you. No friendly hand gestures as he departed. Nothing! He just took off. Fine, that's ok. I don't need a thank you. After all I volunteered. Needless to say, tonight, I have a sore back. A painful reminder of my Samaritan gesture, and questioning if I should ever stop to help a fellow rider in need again.

Lesson learned: I am not saying I will never help another motorist again, but my pushing days are over. Next time I will be the one on the bike being pushed if that is what it takes.

Yesterday I swung through a local shop on my way home from work and found a set of lower bars for 32 bucks. All the handlebars there were non gnarled except these babies and one other that were taller than stock. The ancient sticker on it said cb400 but it's the same profile as ours just a lot shorter. They are drilled for internal wiring, which i would never do, but other than that they are perfect for what i wanted. I will measure them and install tonight.

There is a new 2014 DLX at Ken's Sports Honda in Green Bay, Wis. for $9980. I was going to buy it, but found one outside Boston for the same price after shipping. So I'm buying that one & will actually get to ride it before the snow flies here in Vermont.
Also. Haul Bikes is having a shipping special: $525. anywhere in the U.S. They don't know how long it will last.

OK, I got the call, my CB is ready.
Will pick up tomorrow (9/13) morning, can report more then.
Don said he got about 6% more HP, I was hoping for more.
He applied fuel mix tweaks = to PCV, timing advances in lower gears, and removed upper speed limit. Don thinks I will be happy with overall performance and mentioned there were gains throughout the RPM range. I assume if anyone calls with a 2013CB, he can flash ECU without bike, and also thinking would work with stock, Staintune and other exhausts( just like the current PCV map, works with most setups that have been tried).
Will be installing lower handlebars tomorrow during the afternoon rain, I am sure that will add another 4% HP!

Sorry if this had been asked, but search for grips turned up a huge results with nothing specific. I have never replaced the grips on a motorcycle and don't know if there are specific ones I need for the CB1100 besides the 7/8" bar diameter spec? What are you guys rocking there? The stockers stop being comfortable after about 45mins. Thanks for any insight or direction to some threads I missed.

I am a waffler. For longer than I care to think about it I have been considering a new leather jacket. My old one, an import which I bought from LeatherUp.com has been a decent jacket for several years. it only cost $99 but the jacket was much better than it's price would indicate. Recently though I have had to repair some seams, and the coats lining has stretched and been sticking out of my left sleeve near my wrist. Icould keep nursing it along, but it's time for another GOOD leather jacket.
