ECU from Guhls/Dyno ready - HikerToo_imp - 09-12-2014 OK, I got the call, my CB is ready. Will pick up tomorrow (9/13) morning, can report more then. Don said he got about 6% more HP, I was hoping for more. He applied fuel mix tweaks = to PCV, timing advances in lower gears, and removed upper speed limit. Don thinks I will be happy with overall performance and mentioned there were gains throughout the RPM range. I assume if anyone calls with a 2013CB, he can flash ECU without bike, and also thinking would work with stock, Staintune and other exhausts( just like the current PCV map, works with most setups that have been tried). Will be installing lower handlebars tomorrow during the afternoon rain, I am sure that will add another 4% HP! http://www.guhlmotors.com/ RE: ECU from Guhls/Dyno ready - CIP57_imp - 09-12-2014 (09-12-2014, 02:25 AM)HikerToo_imp Wrote: OK, I got the call, my CB is ready.Sounds good. Don't forget to ask him for the before and after dyno maps and more important the A/F ratio changes. Edit: Please post the 2 charts. RE: ECU from Guhls/Dyno ready - HikerToo_imp - 09-12-2014 Hey CIP, I think he said he just applied the PCV maps for fuel, not sure if he tweaked more from that starting point. I did ask if it was any different from what he did to yours( the guy from NY's), since it sounded about the same, he said he was able to get more out of this one since he had the bike....... I also removed the PairValve block before giving it to him, he is aware of that tweak and said I should probably put it back. RE: ECU from Guhls/Dyno ready - the Ferret - 09-12-2014 6 % ... Does that equate to about 5 HP? Should put you close to 90 hp. RE: ECU from Guhls/Dyno ready - Cormanus - 09-12-2014 Good one HikerToo. Very generous of you to supply your g̶u̶i̶n̶e̶a̶p̶i̶g̶ er bike to Don. I'm really keen to hear how it goes. RE: ECU from Guhls/Dyno ready - HikerToo_imp - 09-13-2014 Just got back from Guhl's with my newly flashed ECU unfortunately it was raining or roads were wet most of the way home, 75 minutes away...we're talking twisty roads with fresh Amish wagon horse stuff on them, beautiful country though. I did not have a chance to go over 6K RPM's One thing I can say, is it still runs good, no oddities were added from the flash, smooth and responsive. It did seem to pull better from 3 to 4K RPM's When I got close to home, I was able to do one short run of close to redline shifts and it seemed to have extra pull, although I let off around 95 MPH.... so far, so good. RE: ECU from Guhls/Dyno ready - Lord Popgun - 09-13-2014 Any dyno run charts you can show us? RE: ECU from Guhls/Dyno ready - CIP57_imp - 09-13-2014 There is no dramatic change with the flash. I had a realized gain of about .2 sec's 0-100. You should notice a better throttle response at 1/4 throttle especially in the lower gears and no limiter is a big plus. Your 60-80 times at full throttle in 5th should be better and smoother. RE: ECU from Guhls/Dyno ready - HondaJon_imp - 09-13-2014 Hiker, Are you still running the stock header or one with a CAT? |
