Differences between the standard and Deluxe
Posted by: EGAlvarez_imp - 02-22-2015, 12:21 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (14)

I looked but didn't find a list of the differences so forgive me if this has already been asked. It looks like the differences b/t the deluxe model and the standard in the USA are as follows:

-Deluxe has silver versus he standard's black painted wheels and motor.
-Deluxe has a larger, more maroon fuel tank.
-Deluxe has chrome covers to hide discolored header pipes.
-Deluxe has a more retro looking seat.
-Deluxe has painted versus silver side panels.
-ABS is standard on the Deluxe.
-Deluxe has 4-4 versus 4-1 exhaust. (+30 pounds)

Am I missing anything?

It's getting hard to hold out much longer with the $1000 Honda Bonus Bucks and many dealers offering another $1000-1500 discount!
I have a friend who is a GM at a dealer who is willing to sell me a standard for $7000 or a Deluxe for $8999 plus tax, title and tags.

  first thrash on my CB

I took my CB out for its first hard ride in the canyons today. It performed really well . I managed to overheat the shocks in about 3 miles of hard twisties and it still felt decent. Engine pulled well and the frame is super solid. Well done Honda!

  Brought her home!

Picked up my DLX this morning and just got home.

I LOVE this bike! So smooth with more than enough power for me.

I love the 6th gear on the highway. I made the right choice!

I will definitely need a windscreen soon, though.

  Big A## Southern Desert Loop
Posted by: metallyguitarded_imp - 02-21-2015, 01:36 AM - Forum: Seat Time - Replies (23)

I was graciously invited to join some friends from the VFR group on an all day desert outing that will take us over the mountains along the Ortega Highway with a descent into Borrego Springs. Not unlike the Spring Equinox ride I hope to do next month. Of course, I said I'm in! Only, I'm riding the CB. I sure hope they can keep up!

I leave in about half an hour to ride north where I'll meet up with the guys who are coming down from Orange County. I believe there will be four us. Photos and a complete ride report to follow.

Oh, and that was the name given to the ride by its organizer. Potty-mouthed VFR riders!

  Undoing the Fuel Line
Posted by: Light_imp - 02-20-2015, 04:50 AM - Forum: Mechanical & Technical - Replies (4)

Hey all,

I've been trying to get the fuel tank off my 2013 CB1100, and I'm having trouble undoing the fuel line. Any suggestions?

Thanks
