  Ventura pack rack
Posted by: 12milesout - 04-18-2015, 12:44 AM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (1)

I've found a couple posts from folks using the short Ventura racks, but does anybody have the tall one? I'd like to use my old army rucksack as luggage (until I can save up enough for some boxes), and the ventura rack looks like it my be the simple/quick alternative to fabricating a mount.

  CB1100 Swiss Limited Edition 2015
Posted by: Henrik_imp - 04-18-2015, 12:00 AM - Forum: CB1100 Photos & Videos - Replies (21)

This weekend it was Honda organizing a ride weekend by my house. Since I had been to the Ducati one last weekend to try the Scrambler, I figured I had to check out the Honda one today.

I was not expecting anything, although I wanted to try out the CTX700n as a potential replacement for my Aprilia scooter. Unfortunately they didn't have one. Instead I got to see this beautiful Swiss Limited Edition CB1100 for 2015. It is obviously just an EX with a special paintjob and QD exhausts. But I love that color!!

  Low end sputter, hesitation
Posted by: NHCB_imp - 04-17-2015, 10:37 PM - Forum: Mechanical & Technical - Replies (131)

Ok guys, so there has been a lot of discussion about this and how to cure it. I love my Cb or at least used to, I think its the most beautiful bike I have seen and I love every thing about it. But Riding slow, like through town or city in traffic steady speed up to 30 miles an hour or so drives me absolutely crazy. It sputters, lightly pops, and feels like something is holding it back. It makes me hate the bike. The bike has a Yoshi slip on, K&N and I did the pairs block. I have tried the throttle twist trick several times. I have sent my ecu to Don twice with no better results, if anything worse. To be honest I noticed no difference in pefromance either, so I feel like I threw that money away. I really didnt send it to him for power gain anyway, just wanted to smooth out the bike. Im thinking about buying a pcv now, but dont know if that will override what Don did or not, Im hoping it does. But I am reluctank to do so as I dont want to keep throwing money at the same problem, I really cant afford to do so. Does anyone have any ideas?

  Two-tone Engine
Posted by: Outtabout_imp - 04-17-2015, 12:11 PM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (2)

Just got my 2014 CB1100A with the blacked-out motor. Anyone else with one of these considered two-toning the motor? It could probably be done by sanding off just the front faces of the cooling fins or rolling some high heat silver paint on them. Any thoughts?

  The gauges at night.
Posted by: Hiram E. Varona_imp - 04-17-2015, 11:14 AM - Forum: Seat Time - Replies (26)

I was riding home last night when I noticed something I had never noticed before. The gauges (RPM & TACH) on the CB1100 are almost aqua in color in the daytime. The odometer is a clear color with the numbers in bold black. At night the odometer turns into a blue hue and the gauges go dark. What will I notice next![/size]

  How's you're sag?
Posted by: fiscy_imp - 04-17-2015, 11:03 AM - Forum: Mechanical & Technical - Replies (3)

I was just wondering if anybody has measured there sag on the suspension. If so, are you adjusting to 30% front and rear ?. Just trying to get some feedback so I can play around with mine..I weigh 175 and like to ride aggressively especially in the turns, so if you have any suggestions on what to use for my riding style and weight that would be helpful. Found this too..

So put on the 59 decals. I like the look. Used wet install method which is much more forgiving.

I took combined members' advice and boiled them and used some good old fashioned spit on the levers. Lol.
