CB1100 Swiss Limited Edition 2015 - Henrik_imp - 04-18-2015

This weekend it was Honda organizing a ride weekend by my house. Since I had been to the Ducati one last weekend to try the Scrambler, I figured I had to check out the Honda one today.

I was not expecting anything, although I wanted to try out the CTX700n as a potential replacement for my Aprilia scooter. Unfortunately they didn't have one. Instead I got to see this beautiful Swiss Limited Edition CB1100 for 2015. It is obviously just an EX with a special paintjob and QD exhausts. But I love that color!!

Yep, I have always been jealous of your blue one Rocky, but this one with the gold stripe resembling the original CB750K1 is just stunning. They did say they can have my black one painted in the same way.

Is that a factory bike or a customer bike? What are QD exhausts? The exhaust, painted headlight bucket, chrome instrument cups, luggage rack look like farkles a customer would add, and I believe the EX would come with polished master cyl covers, bar ends, alternator cover, f sprocket cover and passenger grab rails. Did you check the plate on the neck (or maybe down by the left footpeg it appears) to verify it was a 15 model? What is little sticker on front fender?

Sorry ,self appointed forum CB1100 Historian needs to know. lol

That is a stunning paint scheme. Reminds me of the CB750 a friend had in the early 70's.

Oh my, I am in love. I hate that Honda give so/no color options in USA.

...such a small market for them...

It's up to us to solve that. I know, if I have mine a few years from now when the paint isn't so fresh...it's getting that Honda Red treatment. Red with a black engine...Banana

I'm hoping someone has a larger-tank option by that time...I doubt it, though, as this is a small-volume model run...

Ferret, it is a 2015 EX that has been modified by Honda Switzerland. It is a bit more than an individual owner adding farkles as Honda Switzerland is selling the bike as it is on the picture. The only added piece of equipment by the owner is the luggage rack. Obviously the paint is a custom job, but they have produced a limited run with this paint, together with the chrome meters. The QD exhaust is an Italian brand that they have chosen to provide with the bike.

Basically what Honda Switzerland have done is take standard EX models, or rather SA as they are known here, and then made the other modifications themselves. So, it is not produced in this way from Japan but rather have been modified in Switzerland before being sold to customers.

The QD exhausts are actually slip-ons that allow for the center stand to be maintained. They are fully legal, and the DB killers in them can be removed for a louder sound if desired. Both sound very nice, but personally I find them almost too small. Placing my own bike next to it, I actually found that mine looked more "balanced" with the general look.

ahh gotcha. So in Japan and Sweden it appears the y will be selling 2015 models. Japan gets the new EX Special (or whatever it's called) with the mag wheels.
