At the risk of asking a question that has been beaten to death, I like doing basic engine mods. In essence to open up any restrictions for the air coming in as well as the exhaust coming out, with a map to help the whole process along. I did this with my Triumph and it really just made the engine perform like it should.
Is this an easily do-able thing with the CB?
Will a slip on work or is it best to do the whole exhaust?
Are air box modifications available?
How about re-maps.
I got to tell you this is the first four cylinder or Japanese bike I have owned after years of two piston bikes. So new ground for me. I don't want a race bike I like the character of the bike I just want to take the gloves off the engine so to speak.

So I was finishing a nice ride this afternoon. But wait, first you need to know that every bike I have owned or ridden before the CB was a dirt bike or a Bonnieville,Thruxton, Sportster. Mr. two jug, that's me. So this is my first anything of its kind, the CB. So I have been thinking that nice as it is it is a bit well anemic in the go department.
Back to the story, I am exiting a big curving ramp with no acceleration lane to speak of, way down in second up in the RPM a bit, a car is squeezing me so as at the top of the exit I twist the throttle....hard......in second gear.......I immediately said the name of my favorite Chinese food place Ho Lee Chit!!!!!! Soooo this is where the power hides in big four cylinders engines! Oh yeah this puts a whole new light on the thing doesn't it.
525 mile, 17 days in and easily the nicest thing I have ever ridden.

Did something for the first time this past Saturday while the temps hit the 70s... rode with a passenger out to one of the forest preserves that ring Chicago! It was truly delightful! I now "get" how exhilarating it is to ride with your girl (in this case my wife) on the pillion perch, holding on tight around your waist! WOW!!

In the next few months Suzuki will come out with there 2016 GSX-S1000F an upright sport tourer with the DNA of there 5th generation GSXR1000 motor ( some say the best motor of the bunch) this will compete with the N1K and Yamaha Fz1 //

Honda did a great job on the 300F but have nothing to compete in this growing market. There 1250's are heavy and suspension is just not there. So, will they miss the boat or stick there 1000RR motor in fully faired sport-tourer with great suspension and all the new electronics and bring it to the states. Remains to be seen.

Not sure if everyone's privy to these bikes, but in 2007 Honda made a 750 that was only released in Japan (I'm sure there were requested exports too, especially for that blue/grey one which was a Freddie Spencer limited edition).

I don't know about you guys, but I think these are some amazing looking bikes and I'd probably take them over the CB11 if it came down to it. I had a 79 CB750-F before the CB11, and I loved that bike when it was operating at it's prime. It's pick-up was amazing and just felt a little sportier than the CB11. Could only imagine how well the '07 CB750 would handle with modernization.

The stock models are quite flashy too, and I'm not usually one for that, but I think they pieced these color schemes together so well that I would have no complaints with gold rims (never thought I'd say that).

I'd imagine there's some models floating around online for sale in the U.S., but I don't even want to know how out of reach the price would be.

ok .. So I just did my 600 mile service myself at 562 miles .... Changed oil and filter ... Put exactly 4 quarts of 10 -30 honda oil in .... Thought I would have to add a little more but to my surprise , the oil level after cranking it up and then letting it set overnight is about 1 millimeter above the high mark in the window .... My question is ... Is this ok , or do I need to drain a little out to get it under the high mark ... Keep in mind .... I already put 80 miles on the bike after changing the oil .... Should I drain some out or not ...??? I'm thinking it's ok but I'm not the mechanic that some of you are ... 1 millimeter over the high mark ok or not ?.... Also keep in mind that the bike was hot when I changed the oil ... I had just rode 60 miles before changing it ... Oil was good and hot when I drained it

My new cargo hold finally arrived...Technically newly acquired. Installation was extremely easy and required no major modifications.

This AM helped my mom (89yrs old-30 more than me) with a few chores, then after lunch a 100 mile or so ride. I-5 to I-90 heading east (only eastward from Seattle) across Lake Washington on one of the 2 floating bridges. Traffic was thin and speed was easy. I stopped short of the pass,which is only 60 miles from downtown, to see if any of the side roads lead anywhere interesting. Mostly they didn't, but that's because I wasn't interested in riding gravel roads today. I did find a few that were paved and explored a little. Took some pics. On the way home I took the cut-off that would take me over the north end of the lake. North Bend-Snoqualmie-Carnation-Duval-Woodinville. The Snoqualmie Valley is milk cow country and filled with new and old farms. I love that ride and was happy that it was breezy enough that the smell wasn't an issue. Got back before rush hour!

Any one that used to have a Windjammer fairing think one could be fitted to a CB 1100 ? The Samurider/Webike ones are cool looking but the Windjammer, would do a better job of blocking the wind @ 80. I'm ole school, and I think it would be kool looking expecially if it was painted black with the red/grey scheme on tank. thanks for any feedback you guys might have, or ones on internet. Don't just want to get a bolt on clear or smoked windshield. RickNRoll53

After looking at this for over a month I just couldnt get past the eye sore! The Bike came with a suddle red pin striping on the tank and it actually looks good. So I sent the Pazzo's back to the factory and they swapped out the Gold adjusters fir red ones and mailed them back for $15. I took the sprocket cover off and sent it out to my buddy in Bridgeport who owns Extreme Coatings and he anodized them in black and sent them back to me for $30. Just got them back on and i am very happy with the results!
